The goal of this course is to teach you how to target the main muscles and techniques to enable you to provide an effective Japanese "Shiatsu" massage. Step 1. You will receive a massage from Ryo Hatanaka (Owner and Chief Massage Therapist at Nature Daikanyama). During the massage, Ryo will give you a detailed explanation of the purpose of the massage and the target muscles. Step 2. You actually perform a massage on a volunteer model. While you perform the massage, Ryo will guide you in steps as to the techniques; how to use your body, and body position. Ryo will also show you how to apply pressure correctly and where and how to target the pressure points on the human body. After the lesson, we will provide feedback and a video of the massage you practiced. You can use this video as a review of the lesson. *After you make a booking, we will communicate via the message center or phone to fix a date/time for your lesson.
