Learn about the Chinese traditions of jade and medicine
After hotel pickup from select sections of Beijing in the morning, your day tour starts with a visit to Tiananmen Square (Tiananmen Guangchang), from where you'll head to the Forbidden City, the UNESCO World Heritage–listed former Chinese imperial palace. A total of 24 emperors lived here, from the Ming dynasty to the Qing.
Then check out a jade-carving factory for about 45 minutes for a look at this traditional piece of Chinese culture before continuing your tour to the Juyong Pass of Great Wall of China, where you'll spend about 1.5 hours. Walk along the wall to take in scenic views of dense woods, pastures, and hilly terrain, and then start the trip back to Beijing for a final stop at a health center to learn about traditional Chinese medicine.
Your tour ends with hotel drop-off in the early evening.
