Beijing Your Way: Private Independent Tour with Optional Guide

Allison was our guide. She was very professional. She helped us figure out the exchange rate and helped us exchange money. She was a real lifesaver when it came to exchanging money. She helped us with the store coupon that we received for shopping at Silk Street. We had to do a lot of walking and she walked with us. Prior to our arrival at the hotel, Allison contacted the hotel asking them to pass on the message that she was tracking our trip. That was a relief. Allison and the driver had worked out the order in which we would visit sites based on our sightseeing requests. She remembered all of our requests without my having to say anything. We toured Jingshan Park, Silk Street, Tiananmen Square, and the Hutongs. The park is beautiful. While at the park Allison pre-arranged for us to experience a Chinese tea ceremony however, it was more of a tea tasting than a ceremony. My husband was thrilled to have the opportunity to taste the teas I, however, felt duped as it was not a ceremony. We were picked up and dropped off in front of our hotel. It was a wonderful experience. We did not feel rushed. We chose our start time based on our arrival. I would have changed two things: no tea tasting and ensuring that the side of the park visited and the Hutongs toured were near the lake. Otherwise, both my husband and I were thrilled with our experience.

Torrey was a great guide. We wanted to see Pandas at zoo and Summer palace. she was great and made the first day of our trip memorable. must use her if in Beijing.Great knowledge. let us explore at zoo. very patient with our tired group of 4. She was great!

I had a limited amount of time in Beijing and wanted to see so many tourist attractions. There wasn't a day tour that specifically covered all the attractions so we hired Chris to give us a private tour. She was extremely knowledgeable and efficient. She offered to take us anywhere and she even offered to give us more hours than what we had paid for. She was very friendly and I would highly recommend hiring Chris to give you a private tour of Beijing.

Truly sensational day with Jane my private tour guide and Mr Chang our driver. We started at about 10am and headed strait for Tiananmen Square followed by the Forbidden City. Jane's excellent english, expert knowledge and ability to navigate the crowds made it easy to follow the tour and move through the beautiful buildings with ease. On our way to see the Great Wall in the afternoon we stopped at a quaint little restaurant and brass shop which provided a good break from the 90 minute drive. Finally, at The Great Wall, Jane masterfully guided me along the path, explaining historical significance and allowing me to enjoy the breathtaking scenery. Simply grand day all around. Things were smooth and easy and although I was tired at the end, I cherish my time on the tour and the sights I was able to see in just one day. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! -Chris Beasley Photography

Excellent! Really went out of the way to help me see two parts of the Great Wall. Guide "Owen" was awesome. Excellent English, a lot of fun and very very knowledgeable about all of China's history and politics. Driver was very good as well. Got us right up to the wall. Wonderful experience!
