Leave your hotel in the Salento area, Gallipoli, Ugento, Otranto, or Patù at 9am, then venture down the peninsula to Torre Vado. Known for its sweep of beautiful beaches, broken by rocky patches of coastline, the seaside town is loved by day-trippers who come to lounge on the sand.
Hop aboard your catamaran, and gaze out at the Ionian shores as you cruise around the peninsula, stopping to see grottoes dotted along the coast. Dock at the Cape of Leuca, Puglia’s southernmost tip, and gaze out at the water; the cape marks the point where the Ionian Sea ends and the Adriatic takes over.
On route back to Torre Vado, you’ll dock near a sea cave for a cool-down dip. Dive and splash in the sea as your hosts serve a light meal of regional specialties with vegetables and fruit. Friselline (crispy baked bread) and taralli savory cookies are among the local treats served up. Sip on soda, water, and wine as you eat, then cruise back to the start point at Torre Vado.
Your experience then ends with a hotel drop-off.
