This was an excellent tour. The tour guide explained every part of the process in a very interesting manner and the tasting at the end was very interesting too. Definitely worth the trip which we did from Cadiz by bus as boat not operating but there appears to be an option by train too,. The winery is on the front row close to the bus stop. A highlight of our time in Cadiz
A walking tour of the city stopping at several popular places to enjoy the food of Cadiz. This ranging from the bustling fish market and traditional fried fish to more contemporary fusion food.
Bertrand, our guide, was brilliant with a great knowledge of the food and history of the city.
This tour is perfect for those with an interest in both food and Andalusian culture!
Excellent tour with interesting food and great local knowledge from Bertrand.
Very well explained throughout. The history of Sherry, how it is made, the different varieties and a good informative tasting. Took around one hour amd then our party of 6 had a great lunch at the associated restaurant next door Bespoke. Rather eclectic, but very pleasant both the food and the prices. All in all thoroughly recommended!
Very pleased we booked this. The bodega is very old and atmospheric smells amazing! and the sherries still made here. Knowledgeable guide and generous tastings with nibbles. Great to get the ferry across from Cadiz to El Puerto de Santa Maria you can see the Bodega from the water so it's very easy to find and only 2/3 minutes walk from the disembarkation place. Takes around 30 minutes and costs 2/3 euros. Highly recommended.
What a lovely way to get to know Cadiz, our guide Bertrand was very good, and explained lots of history, while walking to the various tapes restaurants, each choice was perfect, and made a perfect little birthday surprise for my wife.
Great tour and easily worth the money. My 89-year old Mom requires a wheelchair, and we checked out this tour in advance for accessibility. Although my wife and I have traveled internationally many times, this was the first-ever trip outside the U.S. for Mom. She had no idea what to expect, but let's just say Viator and our tour guide exceeded all expectations. She especially liked the sherry-tasting part of the tour. :
Well worth a visit. An excellent insight into how sherry is made. The guide was very knowledgeable. The sherry tasting and the end was worth the entrance fee on it's own! Recommended.
