One impressed Tourist - This was nicely done.

I was expecting an introduction to the Aboriginal Culture and dining experience and was blown away in a good way with this experience. I was not sure what to expect, but we were greeted just after sunset at our buss with lit torches and followed a path to a clearing with accent lighting in the trees and a tree lit with candles. In the clearing we were served Champaign and hors d’oeuvres while we took in the beauty of the evening and the wonderful effect of the lighting. Although the decorations were ordinary the effect was wonderful. We then were invited to dinner by an individual of Aborigine decent and in their language. The dining was in another clearing under a canopy but open to the elements of nature, back lit by lighting highlighting the forest experience. We were dining in the Forest, listening to the sounds in their natural elements and entertained by an individual playing the Didgeridoo. Dinner was backlit with soft music and between course entertained again by an aborigine providing an explanation of their culture and telling stories that have been handed down to their people for ages. The dinner was excellent, I believe a seven course meal and the service superb. I had to ask them to sop filling my wine glass. The entire evening was simple but elegant, we were not rushed and I came to experience the forest and understand their culture, I left feeling satisfied and grateful for the experience. I would highly recommend this to someone who wants to enjoy a cultural experience with fine dining. But remember you are in a forest and subject to the sights sounds and elements that come with it.
Highly recommended

Unfortunately this event was cancelled due to low bookings. We were really disappointed as we had heard from other travelers that this was an amazing night. Guess next time back, we'll hopefully get to do it.

Very unique and beautiful dining experience. We went on an evening with the acoustic guitar - music was just right- some songs we knew some we had not heard before - nice accompaniment to the meal.
Setting was mesmerizing - twinkling lights and dancing shadows....having a table jut to ourselves gave the evening a romantic, special feeling.
Food was most interesting - and tasty. Wine choices were fine and plentiful.....might have been nice to have a unique after dinner wine with the desert.
The drive from our hotel in Cairns was surprisingly long but gave us a chance to see areas/towns that we wouldn't have otherwise had a chance to see.

Dinner was fantastic, served family style. I was able to try dishes that I wouldn't order off a menu for example, kangaroo. The aboriginal music and story telling was an added bonus. The atmosphere was romantic.

This was a bit of a strange experience. When compared to the cost, I did not feel it was worth it. The food was fantastic, albeit quite gourmet and perhaps too ritzy for some tastes, but beautifully prepared. We went on a Saturday night but we were not impressed with the guitarist. The atmosphere was nice but it was simply lights strung from the trees. I would not do this tour again in the future.

It was a truly amazing experience. Something I have never seen anywhere else and not likely to forget any time soon. The food was delishious. Not a scrap was sent back to the kitchen and all the staff were very pleasant. Highly recommend to anyone.

Vivienne_B, Jul 2016
Great transfers from Palm Cove, magical setting, excellent storytellers, enjoyed the company at our table. The wine and beer at the table was good with plenty of top ups. Beer, juice and bubbly wine only at meet and greet, which I don't drink. All the food was great although the chicken dish was too spicy for my taste. Just enough food, none left over. Rain on the tent roof while we dined made it even more atmospheric.

I can only tell you I was awestruck by this night! I thought that getting on a bus with 40 people was going to be average to bummed. As my husband and I arrived we were seated at a private table, quiet live guitar music played, it was magical. Guys this is the place to take that special girl.

What an amazing experience!! This was such a cool venue to host a dinner, and the staff was beyond wonderful. They claim that the food is a taste of Australia, and it is definitely that. I would very much recommend this tour just note that you take a bus up a very windy, narrow road, so if you get motion sickness, plan for that.

We dined on a Saturday evening. No cultural show on this night, but a solo talented guitar/vocalist provided the perfect amount of background to accompany our 6 courses. Menu was stunning, weather amazing, atmosphere was tranquil, kind of mystical and wonderful. Simply gorgeous...
