My partner and I were among twenty other people waiting for the tour guide to bring our tickets. A few minutes past the designated time I called the number provided several times. Finally someone picked up and I was told the guide was inside getting tickets. A I/2 hour later I call back again it took several times before someone answered. In fact, they would answer and end the call- this happened at least 4 to six times. When he finally answered I was told me my “tour guide” was right there. The man on the other end of the call went so far to describe what our tour guide was wearing. Fifteen minutes later a tour guide unrelated to the Gladiator tour came over and asked what tour company we were waiting for since he noticed we’d been standing around unattended. He made a call and discovered our tour guide was in ROME! The tour guide from the other company was kind enough to walk us over to the nearby store front. The people there never apologized for the delay, nor did they give us an explanation as to why we were delayed. A woman working there did offer us water while we waited for someone to purchase the tickets. Once the tickets finally came we waited in a short line to enter the museum. David is breathtaking! The museum had lovely art, sculptures, etc. But, the customer service was horrible. If you can find another company do so!!!!
The queue (or line) to enter the museum was certain long but pleased to report, this service was just what was needed.
The ticket agent arrived at the appointed place at the appointed time and furnished us with tickets. That allowed ‘instant’ access to the museum.
A once in a lifetime viewing. The statue of David was breath taking and the rest of exhibits just made the visit worthwhile.
