Your guide and driver will be waiting for you at your Granada hotel. In a comfortable tour vehicle, set out for your first destination: the handicraft market at Masaya.
Spend some time perusing the marketplace filled with traditional handicrafts, paintings and sculptures. Talk with the artisans and possibly purchase a few pieces for souvenirs.
Continue to a typical Nicaraguan village called Catarina, where the local residents work in agriculture, craftwork and raise horses. From the village, perched on the top of a hill, enjoy views over Apoyo Lagoon, Granada, Lake Nicaragua and the nearby extinct Mombacho Volcano. Your next stop is San Juan de Oriente, a town famous for its ceramic arts, where you'll learn how the artistic knowledge is passed down through generations.
Finally, make your way to Apoyo Lagoon, where you'll visit a small resort. Sail boat and kayak rentals are available and there is a restaurant on site. Take a short hike down a path where families of monkeys live or simply relax by the shores of the lagoon.
At the end of your excursion, transfer back to Granada for drop-off.
