Thanks Mikhail for the great tour to Nuuksio National Park 🏞 yesterday. We enjoyed very much. The weather was not too bad, sun was out when we were at lakeside, and snow was fell when we’re about to leave. I was so excited to see the first snow out there. It’s so beautiful scenery at the park.

The guide is excellent. We are taken as a group of three instead of including others to make a large group. The route is well-planned and the views are excellent.

I absolutely loved my hike. It was just me and my guide and it all went really smoothly. It was nice to get out of the city. We lucked out with great weather. He also provided me with some tips on Helsinki Saunas and another park. I went to both and loved them!! 👏🏼Definitely recommend this guided tour!

I had seen Mikhail referenced in other reviews and given high marks--I would totally agree! He is an excellent guide--well-informed, friendly, very easy to talk to, and eager to do whatever he could to make the experience enjoyable. It was just the two of us, so by the end of the tour, I felt like we had become friends.

Viator did an amazing job finding the perfect local person. Mikhail guided us through the National Park and it was spectacular and he was incredibly knowledgeable, and has a PhD in biology what sure was a bonus. Everyone who loves nature should do that trip to Nuuksio National Park. Congratulations to Mikhail and his wife on their upcoming birth of their second child.

Our guide Michel was wonderful. He met us at our cruise ship and guided us through riding a tram, train and bus to Nuuksio National Park. We had a very nice hike and Michel pointed out local plants, trees, flowers and birds as we took our hike. Our trip was a great experience!

Mikhail is an amazing guide...

Mikhail is an amazing guide, knowledgeable about the plants, animals and birds in the park as well as its geologic history. I'd recommend doing this tour early in your trip, as it's a good introduction to using Helsinki's public transport system. It's not a beginner's walk there is some rough terrain, and at one point you have to go up a wooden staircase that has over 300 steps to get to higher elevations. When I was there, it was early April and some of the paths were stilled iced over, so Mikhail loaned out spikes that snapped onto our shoes. By May, the ice should be melted. There were several small lakes and lots of fantastic scenery. The park is very busy on the weekends year-round, so if you have time during the week, that's when you'll get the full impact of nature without too many other people intruding. In three hours on a Tuesday, we only saw about 10 other people, and mostly towards the end as we were leaving.
