Meet your guide at your accommodation in Key West 30 to 60 minutes prior to your 9 a.m. departure time. Board a comfortable van with your small group of 13 passengers or fewer and head off on your 7-hour sightseeing tour of the Lower Florida Keys.
The driver is equipped with a headset so you'll be able to listen to the commentary along the drive down the famous Overseas Highway to the Dolphin Research Center, which provides care for dolphins that can’t survive in the wild. Tour this working research facility, learn how dolphins are fed and cared for, and observe the dolphins swimming about.
Then, continue to Bahia Honda State Park for lunch, with your choice of sandwiches, burgers, or pizza. Get out and walk down the Old Bahia Honda Bridge for spectacular views of the Florida Keys’ world-famous beaches.
After lunch, head to the National Key Deer Refuge, where you will see endangered Key Deer and may also spot wildlife such as alligators or turtles, and then check out Blue Hole to see rare bird species in their natural habitat. Your next stop is the historic Bat Tower, listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Return to your lodging in Key West at the end of your tour, at roughly 4:30 p.m.
