The backcountry voyage features plenty of action and a wide variety of species — like tarpon, permit, snapper, shark and barracuda — ranging in size from a mere two pounds to over 200. By nature, backcountry fishing is less technical than flats fishing, with steady waters surrounding the mangrove channels of Key West’s marine sanctuary. The trip begins in a modern, 21-foot Sea Pro boat, powered by 150 horsepower Mercury outboards and built specifically for shallow, backcountry fishing. Each boat can accommodate between one and four guests.
This fishing adventure promises a memorable and exciting opportunity to explore the beautiful Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary. All the necessary bait and tackle, plus a fishing license and a cooler to store food and drinks, are included.
