The timing for this activity is challenging. We managed to squeeze in the cable car to the fort, the river cruise to and from Boppard and spent time in Boppard with the help of the women who redeemed our vouchers but we got the last boat back and had to drive in the dark - it's an all day outing
it is a great day out. Having the contrast of the cable car and boat ride. You can choose which one you do first. Wonderful views from the cable car of Koblenz. Seeing the were the Mosel and Rhine meet. Loved the fact that the last bost back from Boppard was a paddle steamer. Good food on board.
This was an excellent trip, we started with the cable car ride and the visit to the fortress, there were some celebrations at the fortress, re-enactment and we had to keep checking the time to ensure we did not miss the cruise on the Rhine. We caught the later paddle steamer back from Boppard to end a very enjoyable day at a very reasonable price.
This tour was a short one but you get to see at least 3 castles. We got there early to see the fortress but the ticket booth was closed until 1 so we had to do the fortress after the cruise. It was about 2 hours there and 1.5 back. Nice cruise not many castles though. Didnt get to go inside the fort
The cable car and the Ehrenbreitstein Fortress were both amazing but the Rhine River Cruise was outstanding. The ships were very elegant and seating was arranged at formal dining tables where food could be purchased although there was no pressure to purchase food. The view from the ship was beautiful and we enjoyed our quick stop in Boppart. This was one of the highlights of our trip.
Could not do the trip from Koblenz to Boppard as the times were not clearly advised on the voucher and we arrived too late to be able to get a return boat.
The ticket counter however, were very apologetic and advised we could do one way and get a train back.
Both the cruise and the Fortress were great. Highle resommended.
My only negative comment is the obligation to present a printed copy of the booking. I arranged my booking the day before my cruise, so I had a really difficult time finding a printed and printing that document. We're in a mobile age, you should be providing your customers other options. The barcode on the e-mail and a valid ID should be more than enough in this day and age.
