I booked this tour on a recent trip to Croatia. I was staying in Dubrovnik and read some good reviews of this tour so I decided to book it because mainly it was advertised as a trip to ONLY Kotor and Lady of the Rock, thinking that I would have enough time to explore Kotor and have lunch. I learned once on the bus that we would also be going to Budva which was not part of my booking. Motor was a lovely town, but with only 1.5 hours slotted to spend there it was too short. We were then back on the bus and driven to Budva, which in my opinion was a complete waste of time. We were given another 1.5 hours to spend there, however there really wasn't much to do or see there. It looked to me like any beach community you can find on any coast in any country. Nothing special. I would have much preferred to stay in Kotor. All in all we were picked up at our hotel at 7:30 and didn't arrive back until 8:30 in the evening. Out of that 13 hours we spent all of 4 hours on the ground in Montenegro, 1 in Perast, 1.5 in Kotor and 1.5 in Budva. Granted it was the height of the season and the border was crowded on the trip back, but it was a VERY LONG day for not a lot in return.

A great tour. Pick-up was smooth and on time. Crossing the borders took less than 30 min in the morning, and 20 min on the return journey. Guide was knowledgeable and nice. Mini Bus was comfortable even with a full bus of 20 people. Really enjoyed the boat ride to Lady of the Rock and then on to Kotor. Right amount of time allocated to Kotor to walk up to the church on the hill and then get lunch. Enjoyed a quick swim in Pearst. Note this tour DOES NOT go to Budva - some people on my tour had been told by their travel agent it did and were therefore disappointed.

Awesome trip. Stunning country, cute little towns, great knowledgable local guide and perfectly organised timings. This is a must!

Agata, the tour guide was excellent. Knowledgeable and very organised so kept the group together and border crossings very smooth. Well paced tour in general. Perhaps less time in Kotor and more time in Budva might be better but this was a minor issue. Would definitely recommend this tour.

This tour uses the 'easier' border crossing. 45 minute delay leaving and only a short delay on the return - told we were very lucky. Last to be picked up so stuck with 3 other adults in the back of the coach with barely any AC - terribly uncomfortable. Sights were ok but overrun with cruise tours.

We took this trip on a very hot day. The bus was full and the A/C couldn't keep up. Crossing the border into Montenegro was time consuming, fully 40 minutes each way. The boat ride was confusing. We arrived at one end of the island and were to be picked up on the other end. The church was crowded with other tours and if the tour guide didn't have reservations we didn't you couldn't go in the church in the time allotted. Kotor was very similar to Dubrovnik except we were there in the middle of the day when it was crowded and very hot. Budva is where we were scheduled to eat. We ate at a beach front restaurant. Obviously the local economy is catered toward the Russians who like to vacation there. All in all, I would have rather stayed in Dubrovnik. Oh well another passport stamp.

We wanted to see Kotor and in particular to do the boat trip to Lady of the Rock. Both these were excellent and we would have preferred to have more time at these places. Also included was a visit to Budva which was not so worthwhile, the resort has a small old town but is basically a beach resort with not a lot to see. We would have preferred to spend more time in Perast as the boat trip to the Lady of the Rock took up the whole of the time for this stop. The trip was well organised although the microphone system on the bus couldn't be heard at the back this mean't information was not available to anyone not sitting at the front. Overall we enjoyed the trip and it was well worth doing and border crossings were swifter than expected.

The tour stops felt rushed. The itinerary would be better if we could have spent more time in Perast and Kotor. Could have skipped Budva. Time at borders also take awhile so actual tour time was only 3-4 hrs vs 8 hrs of travel.

If you plan to go to Montenegro, choose this group tour. This tour is truly a smaller group than the others. We were in a luxury Mercedes van about 18 people. We only waited half an hour in late Aug at the border passport check between Croatia and Montenegro. We heard other horror stories from the other tourists we met in Croatia that they were stuck up to 2 1/2 hours at the border because they were on the big bus with 50 people. There are apparently two passport borders. Because our mini van is small, we were able to pass through the second border control by the coast. Big buses are not allowed there. Lady of rock and Kotor are beautiful. We also stopped in Budva but we only had 1.5 hours there which took most of our lunch time so didn't get to see much. I probably would have dropped Budva if there's an option for Kotor and Lady of Rock only. Or bring your lunch, eat on the bus if you want to do sight seeing in Budva.
