Day Trip Snorkelling to Payar Island Marine Park from Langkawi

Meet a driver at your Langkawi hotel for departure between 8am and 9:30am, then travel to the jetty to board a boat to Pulau Payar Marine Park.

You’ll make the scenic crossing to the islands in a catamaran ferry or speedboat, traversing 19 miles (31 km) of ocean in roughly one hour. As you approach Pulau Payar, watch a cluster of four uninhabited islands appear on the horizon, each surrounded by coral reefs that are habitat for diverse marine life. Step off the boat at a floating platform that's your exploration base for a whole day of sun and sea. 

There’s an underwater observation chamber where you can check out the fish without getting wet, and snorkel equipment is available throughout the day, so you can slip in the water directly from the platform. The white sand beach is swimming distance away, and a buffet lunch will be served on the floating platform. If desired, scuba diving is available at an additional cost (please bring dive certification).

At the end of the afternoon, begin the return trip to Langkawi by catamaran ferry or speedboat, then meet a driver for transfer back to your hotel.
