Best Tours London - no guide for Jack the Ripper tour

The guide from Best Tours London never turned up! Luckily, there was a guide from another company who kindly let us join his tour. Of course, we had to pay two times. I can't find a web site for Best Tours London so I am afraid it might be a scam.
We did the tour in a small family group and there were only 2 other people on the tour.
The man leading the tour (can’t believe I’ve forgotten his name) was really good. He had lots of interesting facts and his own take on the events that happened. He also had lots of information about the area and other historical details.
Our 10 year old daughter who has a serious interest in all things criminal was a little scared so perhaps more suitable for older children.
Overall I’d definitely recommend.
One hour before tour was to start I received a text telling me the exact spot to meet our guide. No one showed up. The text I received said to text them back if there was any problems. My texts were never acknowledged. Several calls made directly to the tour company went unanswered. When someone finally picked up I was told they would contact the guide to find out what was happening and would call me back. That was over 28 hours ago and I'm still waiting fir that phone call.
I hope Viator is a reputable enough company to offer a refund. I had purchased these tickets before seeing all the latest no show reviews. When I reached out to call thyou company direct when no one showed up, th call couldn’t be connected.
After a rough start and not seeing our tour guide we settled and enjoyed the experience. Just tour guide holds a sign up! We were the only ones on our tour which was great as could personalize it, definitely wouldn’t want to goin the big groups we saw on our journey. Overall fun
