Choose your preferred tour option when you book. Then, on the day, depart Madrid by air-conditioned coach and relax as you travel toward your first stop, Avila.
On route, hear tales of this beautifully preserved medieval city, an important pilgrimage site for being the birthplace of the Spanish mystic, Saint Teresa, in the 16th century.
Stop at the viewpoint of the Four Posts (Cuatro Postes) to drink in sweeping views of the UNESCO-protected, old walled city. Admire the 11th-century walls and towers, and then explore two of the town’s most impressive Romanesque and Gothic churches. Take in the fortress design and alabaster chapels of Avila Cathedral, and visit the Basilica of St Vincent, a sublime Romanesque church that houses the richly engraved tomb of the martyred saint.
Back aboard your coach, continue to Segovia, a history-steeped city with Roman roots, set between the Eresma and Clamores rivers.Head into the elegant center, and admire the stunning, two-tiered Roman aqueduct, one of the best preserved ancient monuments in all Spain.
Gaze in awe at the scale and symmetry of this engineering marvel, and learn how it was constructed without mortar during the 1st century AD, and consists of 166 arches and 120 pillars. Then, continue to the Alcazar, a spectacular 11th-century fortress-palace that was one of the inspirations behind the Walt Disney Cinderella castle.
Take a guided tour of the UNESCO-listed, 13th-century building as you hear how it served as a royal palace, prison and artillery college. Admire its distinctive turrets and courtyards, explore its artillery museum, and learn how Queen Isabella was crowned here in 1474.

Next, see some of old Segovia’s other highlights, including Segovia Cathedral. The last Gothic cathedral to be built in Spain, this splendid church was finished in the 18th century and boasts a richly Gothic façade and unusually simple interior.
Take free time for lunch (own expense) during your explorations. Alternatively, upgrade to enjoy either a simple tourist-style meal or a delicious gastronomic feast showcasing Segovian delicacies such as roasted suckling pig — the choice is yours! See the Itinerary for sample menus.
After your time in Segovia, return to Madrid where your tour concludes at the start point.

“We Madrid” was a very good tour with Nacho as the guide. You get to see the highlights of each city and will be exhausted by the end of the tour. The only con for me on this tour was not having alone time to wonder the city areas of interest and do some shopping. Toledo offered great shopping options, however, no time for it. You are guided the entire time. If you want time to shop and wonder around a bit you may want to consider a 2 city tour. Either way, it was a great way to see 3 cities in one day.
Excellent way to see UNESCO cities on the same day

This tour will wet your appetite for even more. If you have more time, visit the cities individually. However, if you have limited time, this tour hits the highlights in these amazing cities and are well organized by Julia tours. Our guide led competently although I would have appreciated just a little more description of how far away the cathedral was from the lunch point so we didn't nearly miss it. Speaking of lunch, I highly recommend opting for one of the lunch options.
This was so worth it!

Our guide was very knowledgeable and easy going. She took the time needed for all the guests to keep up and answered all questions easily. Lunch was interesting, we got to try some real Spanish dishes.

This was an excellent tour. We had a group that was divided into two groups so those wishing to hear the descriptions in Spanish and English could with separate guides. The guide was well-informed and engaging. The material was interesting and the time allotted was perfect except it was hard to to figure out exactly where to meet once we viewed the aqueduct. The lunch was absolutely superb. One of the best meals we had on our month-long vacation.

Steep stairs at Avila and lots of walking! Julia Travel and Tours charges 40.00 euros cash for each lost earpiece. Too expensive!
Great trip!

Our guide Manuelo spoke English well, was knowledgeable and answered questions. He let people take their time within the frame of the schedule. It was Sunday, so because of this we could not visit St. VIncent in Avila which was a pity. We had our recompense in Segovia with the cathedral and the Alcazar. Altogether a memorable tour.
Did not waste any minute. Great tour!

The guide did a great job on providing all the historic information about the region. We surprisingly received one complimentary hot eggy dish an one glass of beverage, even though we did not pay for the meal option. The 2 thousand years old roman waterway wall is amazing high and big. But guide's direction to get to the Catedral de Segovia was not very clear so we almost got lost in town and nearly missed the group gathering. Alcázar de Segovia is very beautiful. I wish I could have stayed inside longer to taking more photos. Highly recommend if you have one full day in Madrid without any where to go plan.
