After hotel pickup in the early morning in Nashua or other select locations by motor coach, your day trip starts with the drive to the New Hampshire Highland Games and Festival, one of the largest and most diversified game events in the country.
When you arrive, you'll be entertained with all sorts of competitions and demonstrations. Watch those with strength and stamina participate in Scottish Heavy Athletics events such as the hammer throw, caber toss, weight over bar, and stone carry, and enjoy performances by solo pipers and drummers, pipe bands, and drum majors.
The Massed Bands features more than 30 pipe bands marching along the parade grounds, and the Highland dancing is a must-see, with its combination of agility, costumes, and the music of the clàrsach (harp) and fiddle.
More than 60 clans and societies gather here for the Massed Bands, Celtic concerts, sheepdog trials, New England Regional Fiddle Championship, and more.
When your time at the festival is over, your day trip ends with return to transport to Nashua, where you'll arrive in the evening.
