Depart for your private tour from your hotel with your guide and driver in either the morning or the afternoon, continuing on to an exploration of the wealth of monuments found in and around Mandalay.
Stop by the Mahamuni Pagoda, home to a Buddha image famous for its adornment of gold foil and crown made of rubies, sapphires, emeralds, and jade. The resulting mass of precious metals and jewels weighs in at more than a ton (900 kilograms). You’ll also stop by the Shwenandaw Kyaung (Golden Palace Monastery) and Shwe Inbin Monastery, two Buddhist complexes that help illustrate Mandalay’s unique architectural heritage.
Continue your trip at Kuthodaw Pagoda, a Buddhist stupa (religious structure) located at the foot of Mandalay Hill that’s famous for its 729 marble slabs, each of which is inscribed with a Buddhist teaching. After exploring a local silk workshop to learn about Burmese-style Kalaga embroidery, you’ll proceed to the top of Mandalay Hill, which offers dramatic views of the city and surrounding countryside.
Finish your Mandalay tour with a drop-off at your hotel.

The tour was satisfactory. It was a hot, muggy and dusty day so that probably made it a 4 star. The guide, Mr. Aung Naing Win, was excellent, he and the driver were atentive and very accommodating.

Amazing private tour. Our tour guide May was very knowledgeable, spoke clearly and took all our needs into account. We visited the most amazing sights in just 4 hours, which even our child could enjoy. Tour was also very flexible as we could go pretty anywhere we wanted and stay as long or short as we wanted. At the end we even took a detour to a central mall, had lunch there at our own cost, and they took us back to the hotel afterwards. Thanks guys!

This was a fantastic tour of the cultural aspects of Mandalay. Our guide was very knowledgable and gave us a really in depth understanding of the religious and cultural values here. His name was Da Da That's what it sounded like. You took us from a simple monestary to the golden palace monestary which at one time had been completely covered in gold leaf.
A tour well worth taking. You really can't do it by yourself. You need a guide who can explain what you are seeing.
