Overview

Get a personal introduction to Mexico City’s historic center on a 5-hour, guided private tour for your group of one to seven people. This walking tour includes hotel pickup and drop-off, and offers a ‘best of’ experience of Mexico City’s cultural landmarks and heritage.
  • 5-hour private Mexico City walking tour
  • Explore a UNESCO World Heritage Site
  • Visit the historic center with a local guide
  • Private tour for a personalized experience
  • Hotel pickup and drop-off included
Begin with pickup at your Mexico City hotel, then travel to the Centro Historico, the historic center, in a private luxury vehicle. Some of the city’s most iconic sites are easily accessible on foot, so leave the car behind to see the colonial architecture at street level.

Follow a route that’s been carefully designed to take in Mexico City’s colonial-era landmarks and pre-Hispanic history. The historic center of Mexico City is included on UNESCO’s World Heritage List, and wraps around a plaza, or zócolo, that can hold up to 100,000 people. Your guide will share history, facts, and insider perspective throughout the tour: central Mexico City is built on Aztec sites, and you’ll get the perfect overview of the area’s multi-layered past.

Stop at important buildings and archeological sites along your walking route, with plenty of time to explore the places that interest you most. This private tour concludes with return transfer to your hotel.
Itinerary
Stop At:
Historic Center (Centro Historico)
This tour includes the essential MUST-SEE cultural and historical sites of downtown Centro Historico, Mexico City. For example: UNESCO Templo Mayor Aztec Temple site, the largest LatAm Cathedral & LatAm´s largest plaza - The Zocalo (both are built on top of important archeological Aztec ruins), The famous Diego Rivera mural at the National Palace, and the Bellas Artes palace with its Deco and Neo-Colonial architecture, the Sanborns House of Blue Tiles building. You won´t see ALL of these in 5 hours. BUT this is a tailored tour which means you WILL see the things that interest YOU the most. This is not a cookie cutter tour. This means, if you don´t like churches or architecture for instance, we adjust the itinerary to YOU. Likewise, if you want to spend more time exploring the Cathedral or the Aztec ruins, you can! Your guide picks you up from your hotel and on the way to Centro Historico, they chat with you what your interests are & what you have already seen. They adapt the itinerary according to your feedback, and additionally DURING the tour. So if you decide spontaneously that you want to stop for coffee, or to see more of one site and less of another, you CAN! Your guide is there to make it a perfect mix and match for YOU.

Wonderful, flexible tour!

We only had a couple of days in Mexico City this time around and wanted to make the most of them. Santiago was a very warm and professional guide. He took the time upfront to understand what we were interested in and then came up with an itinerary on the fly that met all of our needs. He was a font of information about the pre-Columbian history of the city all the way through the current political situation. We would highly recommend working with this tour company.
