Great day trip!

Visit to Chichen Itza, Ik Kil Cenote and Valladolid with Lunch | Mar 2020
This was a very enjoyable day trip! We were picked up on time and after an hour of getting everyone on board we drove towards Chichen Itza. First stop was a large souvenir shop and lunch stop. Food was good and if you want to shop here is a good place although Chichen Itza is full of stalls where you can buy any souvenirs very cheap. The tour was in Spanish and English and our guide Tino swapped between the two easily. At Chichen Itza we were put in an English speaking tour which was great as it went for an hour and we were given lots of information. Ik Lil Cenote was beautiful although it is very crowded. Still we had a quick swim before we continued on to Valladolid. This is the one place we could have had a bit more time to look around however it seems most tours only do a short stop here of about 30 minutes. Overall it was a great trip and took about 12 hours, so arrived back at our hotel in time for dinner.

Excellent Tour!

Visit to Chichen Itza, Ik Kil Cenote and Valladolid with Lunch | Mar 2020
We had an amazing time! Our tour guide did such an amazing job translating between English and Spanish, and really made it enjoyable (and fun!) for all of us. We highly recommend this tour! It’s a long day, full of wonderful site seeing and learning more about the Mayan history. Thank you so much!

Tour is great, pushing to buy things is not

Visit to Chichen Itza, Ik Kil Cenote and Valladolid with Lunch | Mar 2020
Our pick up was timely. Our guide Ruben was extremely knowledgeable, had great English + Spanish and was the best part of our tour. He explained things very well about Chichen Itza. The cenotes were absolutely beautiful and refreshing. Food was buffet style and okay. The reason that we dropped stars is because this says “no hidden fees” which was a motivating factor for purchasing this tour as we’ve all had tours where “shopping” or extra fees have been pushed on us. We were disappointed that they tried to swindle us into buying $21USD “Birth certificates” and $18USD liquor with our photo on it on the bus. Had they done one or the other it may have been okay but pushing both made us feel like cash cows rather than guests. I’ve seen many other reviews that say they did not enjoy the tourist trap “shopping stop” and we agree. It took less than five minutes to go through the store, yet we had 25 minutes (the same amount of time we had in Valladolid).

Very good trip with some restrictions

Chichen-Itza, Cenote Ik-Kil, Rio Lagartos, Las Coloradas Private Tour with lunch | Feb 2020
We got picked up by Miguel in a private car at our lobby. We showed up 15 minutes before the scheduled time (6:15am) and he was already waiting for us. We then drove off towards Yucatan - Las Coloradas. On the highway we stopped at a small restaurant and ate some breakfast (paid by ourselves, wasn‘t expensive). At Las Coloradas, we have been able to visit the pink Salt Salines and got accomplished by a local. The local took some great pictures and our tour-guide paid the tip! Toilets at Las Coloradas costs 5 Pesos. After that, we drove 5 Minutes to Rio Lagartos. We entered the private speed boat and drove to a spot where we‘ve seen an Alligator. Our boat driver had some fishes to feed the Alligator. We then drove to a sandbank where we‘ve seen Flamingos, Pelicans and walked through a clay field. We then drove to the village of Rio Lagartos, where Miguel was waiting in his car. After a stop at a small grocery store to buy some drinks, we went to the Cenotes. The Cenote is beautiful to see, but it was definitely too crowded for us. We only spent about 5 minutes down there and then went for „lunch“ at 3pm. After Lunch, we visited Chichen Itza. Unfortunately we didn‘t have much time left, so we hurried through the site in only 1.5hrs. Nevertheless, Miguel was able to explain everything to our full satisfaction. Negative points: - Cenote was too crowded - Only one bottle of water was provided, the rest was pid by ourselves - Drinks for lunch at Cenote is not included Positive: - Ability to schedule the tour to our needs - Miguel is a Mayan and knows the history - Miguel is a very friendly and honest guide, thank you! - See a lot of things in a short amount of time (it takes 2-3 days if booked separately) Overall it is an expensive excursion, but worth the money.

Good, but too many people.

Visit to Chichen Itza, Ik Kil Cenote and Valladolid with Lunch | Feb 2020
Only thing I didn’t like about this tour was there were too many people on the tour, close to 40 people. The reason why I booked this tour is cuz it said maximum of 15 people.

Pickup was on time. It’s a large group so you travel on a bus. Driver was good felt safe the whole ride. Esther the host did a great job. It’s a long day but totally worth it! Had a tour of the ruins then a hour to explore. Nice amount of time at the cenote. Then little bit of time to out Valladolid the church there was cool. The order and amount of time for the activities is perfect highly recommend.

Pls dont waste your time in booking this tour

Visit to Chichen Itza, Ik Kil Cenote and Valladolid with Lunch | Jan 2020
Please don’t waste your time in booking this tour it is really fast, and you will be on your toes. The tour guy will not let you have enough time for anything not even for pictures. They have their own shops where they want you to buy from and they’re expensive because they have their set commission. Food is awful you can buy good food for a cheaper price outside. This was the worst tour from viator ever. Please save yourself time and money both and please please please do not book this tour!!

Great adventure!

Visit to Chichen Itza, Ik Kil Cenote and Valladolid with Lunch | Jan 2020
Overall it was a pleasant day. The lunch buffet was delicious but I think we spent too long at the first stop and would have really like to spent more time at Valladolid instead. Our tour guide was okay, I feel like he would speak multiple paragraphs in Spanish but only a paragraph in English. My partner who knew both languages confirmed that he explained in more details in Spanish. Other than that, it was a day well spent!

Do this tour on day one

Visit to Chichen Itza, Ik Kil Cenote and Valladolid with Lunch | Dec 2019
From start to finish this tour was amazing. This most definitely is a must do tour visiting Cancun. One downside is not enough time in the day to enjoy it all. The bus ride was good time to rest and recover from the night prior. Most definitely wish to have more time at Ik Kil the water and diving was amazing and almost lost track of time. Valladolid is a trip in itself, good sample of the city center to want to make a separate trip back. Reuben was a wonderful tour guide

Overall, it is a typical group tour. You go to souvenir shop and visit the tourist attraction. Return drop-off is not very efficient. Expect return to hotel after 9 pm.
