Why Travelers Choose This Tour

This tour has skip-the-line tickets, and a 1-hour lunch break so you can pause and reflect between sites.
Be ready for morning pickup at your Krakow hotel, and drive about 1.5 hours to reach the Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum and Memorial, where more than an estimated 1 million Jews and other targeted populations were murdered during World War II. The former Nazi concentration and extermination camp is now preserved as a memento of Europe's darkest chapter.
Skip the entrance lines with a timed ticket, and connect with an English-speaking guide for a tour of the camp including prisoner barracks, the unloading ramp, and ruins of a gas chamber and crematorium. Spend 2 hours at Auschwitz I, the former SS administrative center, and 1 hour at Auschwitz II-Birkenau, where most of the murders took place. After this sobering visit, take a 1-hour break for reflection and lunch (own expense).
In the afternoon, explore the mesmerizing underground world of the Wieliczka Salt Mine. Be prepared for a steep climb down several hundred steps as you descend into the tunnels and caverns of one of the world’s oldest salt mines. Admire sculptures carved out of salt rock and see mysterious saline lakes during a 3-hour guided visit. Return to the surface via an elevator, and relax on the return drive to your Krakow hotel in the evening.

This is a very interesting tour and we are really very enlightened and satisfied. The tour guides and the bus driver are good. The weather though was not so helpful with occasional drizzling and cloudy sky. Overall very satisfied.

As others have said, it wouldn't feel right reviewing and rating Auschwitz, so I'll concentrate on the trip itself. Pick up was on time, and we travelled for five minutes to meet up with our mini bus. We did the trip in reverse, meaning the salt mine were our 1st stop. There are a lot of steps down, but the stairs are sturdy and felt safe. The guide was knowledgeable, and the carvings and statues are an amazing sight. The Chapel is an astounding piece of work, and there is enough to be seen to make the trip enjoyable and engaging. There are many choices of restaurants around Wieliczka Both inside the salt mine and in the small town where the mini bus parks Next we headed to Auschwitz. Our guide, Conrad, was again knowledgeable and we really got the feel of the true horror of what went on. Because the day had had sporadic rain showers our guides even handed out umbrellas when we reached Birkenau, as they knew the majority of that segment of the tour was outside. It's the little touches like that that elevate a good tour into a great tour.

The salt mines are beautiful, Auschwitz is harrowing but an important experience.
Mark Marek was our driver and was excellent, informative and courteous.
The price is fair and I'd recommend this trip to anyone visiting Krakow.

This is worth the money. The company was wonderful to work with. The guide that we had at the Salt Mine was hilarious. Nicholas Cage He was a Polish stand-up comedian. You can't predict who will be your guide since they work for the mine, but the transportation and convenience is worth every cent. If you are not in great shape, it's good to be concerned, but I was able to do it. You definitely feel the burn the next day. Walk carefully, watch your step and feel like you have done something big when you are done.

Auschwitz-Birkenau was important to experience. The tour guide was appropriately respectful and serious.

This tour was well managed and everything went smoothly. I fully recommend them. I thought the price was great and I am glad that I picked this company.

My husband and I recently completed this tour and while in many ways it was everything we'd anticipated, in some ways I found it very misleading. This tour is advertised as a small group tour: Small-group tour / Transport by air-conditioned minivan ... We had a really delightful driver collect us for in the eight-seater minivan and then we drove to Auschwitz where our small group became part of a very much larger group for the actual tour. The same thing happened at Birkenau and at the Salt Mines. The tours themselves were very professional and efficient, the guides knowledgeable and patient, and if I'd been expecting a large group tour I would have been very happy. As it was, the minivan was very crowded and uncomfortable and the tours were large. Aside from that, I can highly recommend everything else. The sites are most definitely very tourist-driven these days, but there is still enough time to get a feel for the horrific circumstances and shocking conditions people were subjected to during their incarceration. The sites are a must-see for all humanity, so we can teach new generations to do better than the old. Our driver was wonderful and our guides knowledgeable, I feel viator were misleading advertising this as a small group. It isn't.

I enjoyed the tour as much as you can enjoy something like visiting Auschwitz and my guide was great though I don't remember her name, but would have liked to hear more personal stories about prisoners and have spent more time in Auschwitz I, as I felt we were very rushed through the places in which I felt I needed time to sit with what I had just seen. As for the salt mine, I would give that portion 5 stars. My guide, Agnes, clearly enjoyed her job and teaching new people about the salt mines. She was very willing to answer any question I had for her and dealt with a group of 13 very obnoxious young men with class and ease. The salt mines are amazing. In the future, I will allow more time for myself and visit Auschwitz and the salt mine each on separate days, as that would give me more time to spend at Auschwitz.

Highly recommended. The Auschwitz site is very spread out, so having a tour guide and vehicle is important, which this tour provides. The guides are very informative and friendly. You also get a guide in English around the notorious site. Then you go to the Salt mines which are surprisingly warm. The only drawback of this tour is the lunch stop is very short, and service is a little slow, some of our group were rushing food.

Sad history of Auschwitz, but the guide was great. Highly recommend this tour when in Krakow.
