Overview

Discover some of Rome’s most panoramic views on an electric-assist bicycle tour. With your guide, pedal up several of the hills of Rome including Aventine, Capitoline, and Janiculum. On an electric-assist bicycle, the motor does most of the work. See the Circus Maximus, ride through Trastevere and enjoy the beautiful vista from the Janiculum, before heading to Navona square, and a number of other sights. This small-group tour is limited to 10 people to provide more personalized attention.
  • Pass through Trastevere, Piazza Navona and by the Pantheon
  • Climb the Aventine, Capitoline and Janiculum hills
  • Enjoy a panoramic view of the Roman Forum
  • Small-group tour limited to 10 people ensures personal attention from your guide

Why Travelers Choose This Tour

Pedal to a ton of central sites and up three hills of Rome in 4 hours—a rare offering.
Your bike tour starts by meeting your guide at a central location in Rome. You'll be paired with an electric-assist

bicycle, which looks like a regular bicycle but takes out most of the work of pedaling up Rome’s famous hills (If you prefer the exercise,

however, regular trekking bikes are also available.). Pedal away from Rome’s busy traffic, following your guide past sights like the Circus

Maximus; ride through the colorful neighborhood of Trastevere and visit popular piazzas like Piazza Navona. Climb on the Janiculum Hill for a breath-taking view of the Eternal city and ride down to the square of Saint Peter’s

Basilica and to Castel Sant’Angelo. Finish the tour by going on the Capitoline hill, for a view over the monumental ruins of the Roman

forum.

Things to see on the way:
• Circus Maximus and view of the Palatine
• Aventine Hill and Orange Garden: romantic view of Rome
• Trastevere
• Santa Maria in Trastevere
• Janiculum: the main view of Rome
• Vatican and Square of St. Peter’s Basilica
• Castel Sant'Angelo
• Via de' Coronari
• Piazza Navona (former Stadium of Domitian)
• Jewish Ghetto and Porticus of Octavia
• Theater of Marcellus
• Panoramic view of the Roman Forum
• Imperial Forums

This was a real highlight of our trip to Rome. We had great fun following our guide, Emanuel, and listening to his local insights. The size of the group was just right. We seemed to cover the whole city. Despite the warmth of August, the electric bikes made it effortless.

We had an awesome tour. The electric bikes were fabulous it was so hot and they were of great assistance. We explored amazing ground using the bikes. Our tour started at 4pm which was perfect because we would be starting to enter the cooler part of the day. The back alleys and side streets were a thing we would never have explored. For this we are truly grateful we did the tour and would strongly recommend this to anyone who wants to explore the true Rome.

I would highly recommend this as a way to see the majority of the main sites. Make sure to be well versed on how to ride an assist bike so that all of the shifting comes naturally as you travel on several busy roads. A bad rider in the group could cause major issues. Our guide was fantastic but we got behind schedule and had to rush the end.

The best way to see Rome. The half-day tour was probably enough but an easy stroll around areas of the city you would not otherwise see was definitely worthwhile.

The tour was the highlight of our trip to Rome, We went with Top Bike Rental and they were so friendly and professional . We popped in 2 days before the tour to check the details and the lady behind the desk was a gem. She gave us hints and tips to enhance our stay and by then we knew we had picked the right tour. Our tour guide was Valeria who was friendly and had so much knowledge throughout the tour she made our week. We felt safe at all times on route and believe this is a great way to see Rome.

The tour was very nice. Bicycles were very good, very easy to ride. Emanuel was supportive is not very easy to ride in Rome, he give us plenty of information about the city. We saw a lot of interesting sites not so easy to find by your own.
