Choose a 9am or 1:30pm tour, then make your own way to the start point near the Roman Forum entrance.
With your skip-the-line ticket in hand, you’ll bypass any lines and head through security checks to discover the archaeological delights of the Roman Forum. Learn about the Seven Hills of Rome as you walk around Palatine Hill, and gaze out at the Colosseum — the monument that’s next on your list.
The largest amphitheater ever built, the Colosseum is impressive from every angle. Gaze at the structure’s exterior as you guide explains how it was built and gives you a run-down of its history. Then, step inside to walk in the footsteps of the gladiators, emperors, and spectators from the days of the Roman Empire. After three hours, your tour ends outside the Colosseum.
Please note: This itinerary is flexible, and sites may be visited in a different order. Roughly 1.5 hours is spent in the Roman Forum and then in the Colosseum.
