Why Travelers Choose This Tour

The more than 5,000-year-old stone circle of Stonehenge is considered a marvel of engineering whose construction and purpose continue to boggle the mind. With a specialist as your guide, you’ll gain unique insight about this must-see landmark.
Let a specialist guide lead you around World Heritage–listed Stonehenge on this exclusive tour that includes early access to the stone circle, so you can beat the crowds. Depart London by coach in the early morning for the 2.5-hour drive and stop at a cafeteria en route to purchase any food or drinks for lunch (own expense).

On arrival, absorb the tranquil atmosphere as you follow your specialist guide along a perimeter path around the protected monoliths on the Salisbury Plain. During your stroll, listen to theories on the astronomical significance of Stonehenge, based on decades of research, and take advantage of great photo ops of this ancient architectural marvel whose original purpose is still unclear.

Ponder the possible origins and construction of the 40-ton bluestone rocks, and learn about the artificially designed post-and-lintel sarsen stones, some dating back to the Neolithic Period and Bronze Age. Your 8-hour tour ends with drop-off in central London.

If you'd like, upgrade to include entrances fees to attractions (see description in Itinerary below).

Viator Exclusives combine unique experiences and great deals — from traditional tours to once-in-a-lifetime experiences — and are not available from other 3rd-party online sellers.

Windsor Castle and Bath (11 Hours)
Make the most of the day visiting to Windsor Castle and Bath, two more of England’s trophy sights. Choose to have your entrance fee for Windsor Castle included with the tour price, or enjoy the flexibility of paying on arrival.

Following your visit to Stonehenge, continue to the royal town of Windsor, where Windsor Castle, an official residence of Queen Elizabeth II, awaits you. Head inside with your guide and learn about the British Royal Family and the castle’s history as you explore the State Apartments, St George’s Chapel and other public rooms.

Next, travel to to the beautiful Georgian city of Bath. You may choose to visit the Roman Baths — said to be Ancient Rome's best-preserved public baths (own expense). Alternatively, enjoy time at your leisure to explore the city independently. Your day trip then concludes back in central London.

Please note: There will be an opportunity to break for lunch (own expense) in Windsor or Bath.

Overall this tour was great...

Overall this tour was great. Unfortunately it started off a little rough because one family was 30 minutes late, which impacted the rest of our day. Stonehenge was amazing and Bath was quaint. We had another person who was 30 minutes late in Bath, which meant Windsor castle was closed by the time we got there. We got a portion of our money refunded but I was very disappointed.

The timing of this tour was perfect. We were one of the first ones at Stonehenge and the late afternoon arrival at Windsor Castle ensured that we were not fighting the crowds. A good way to spend the day outside of a very city I was in London during the hottest spell they had in 40 years! Bath was pretty but I would skip the Roman Baths and just enjoy a walk along the river Avon. Great guidequite knowledgeable and accommodating to requests and questions.

Quite complete but a bit exhausting. The last part in a little town not mentioned in the schedule should be omited, leaving more time for Windsor and Bath, that were a bit rushed. The tour guide was OK in general, though he was focused on a friend who had joined the tour.

The timing of the tour was perfect. We are the first three groups arrived then other huge Chinese tour group. We have to complete the walk of the Stonehenge, visit museum and go the bathroom before getting back to the coach. It was only nine of us. We either got the extra bonus from tour guide to visit Woodhenge. Since I visited on Sunday, the church at City of Bath was not accessible between 11:30-1pm during the time of my visit. The Windsor castle is a little rush because many people in the doll house. The time of Windsor Castle is self-guided visit but I still enjoyed a a lot.

Bus driver was 40mins late, meaning we were not the first coach to arrive at Stonehenge as promised. He also didn't know how to work the heat on the bus. So after standing outside at 6:30am in October waiting for him, we were all frozen and very uncomfortable on the bus. As other reviewers have said, you do NOT have enough time at each location and are rushed through the day. Stonehenge was fine with the time, we couldn't go to the visitor center and watch the film due to time, but we could have spent less time wandering around the stones. Bath we were only given 1hr 15mins, which was NOT enough time to see the baths and grab lunch. Needed at least 15-30 mins more to not run though the whole exhibit admission price is also NOT included. Windsor we were cheated the most. It's a solid 15 minute walk from the coach parking to get to the front gate at Windsor plus 15 to get back, which greatly cut into your 1.5 hours given there. We had to run through the whole castle and couldn't even stop to reach plaquards, or view the grounds. There is also a shopping area on the way back to the coach - no time to stop, had to catch the bus. If you do the tour - plan on taking your own transportation back from Windsor. There is a train station literally right there, take that back into central London and spend at least 2hrs at Windsor at your leisure. Our guide Patricia was lovely, but the late start from the driver and not knowing how to use the heat made the hours of commuting horrible. We saw all 3 locations, but would need to go back to appreciate them because we were rushed through each spot.

This was a very disappointing tour experience. We were asked to meet at 6:30 am but the bus did not arrive until after 7:00. When it did arrive, it did not have enough seats. After an awkward time, five people decided to leave. We boarded the bus only to realize that the guide had miscounted and we were still two seats short. This was certainly not a luxury bus. The vents leaked water and the sound system did not work so the guide only occasionally spoke to us. Because of the late start, the rest of the day was extremely rushed. We did not have time for the Roman Baths in Bath and St. Georges Chapel in Windsor had closed by the time we got there! The sights were spectacular, but I don't fell I can recommend this tour

Honestly, I should have listened to the previous reviews when they said that the itinerary was too packed. Warning: DO NOT BE LATE. We left behind a couple at our London meet up because we had to be at Stonehenge at a certain time to be the first ones to walk through, they unfortunately had to skip Stonehenge and pay extra for a train from London to Bath to meet up with us. I did thoroughly enjoy not having to walk through Stonehenge with loads of crowds and children on their school field trips, but we hardly had enough time to take in the sights of Stonehenge and see the new exhibit at the guest center. Also, another couple missed our meet up time at Stonehenge, and the tour guide left them... who knows how they ever made it back to London on their own. We had about 1 hour in Bath, definitely NOT enough time at all. We wanted to see the Roman Baths and grab lunch since this was the only opportunity to get lunch, so we rushed through the Roman Baths to get takeaway lunch before getting back on the bus. Wish we had more time in Bath since it's such a adorable and very historical town. As for Windsor, we basically were the last people to arrive. We saw the chapel as it was closing, aka walked really fast through it and didn't really see anything the tour guide was talking about because we had to rush. We got a really quick less than 5 minute glimpse of the Queen's garden as that was closing as well, but we did get to go through the Castle exhibits at our own pace. Anyways, I think if I could do it over again, I would have probably just done early access to Stonehenge. Everything else was too rushed. Bath is a city that requires a day to its own at a minimum. The tour guide was extremely knowledgable like so many random facts, but had really biased ramblings lots and lots of rambling into the mic she dissed JK Rowling by saying she, never had a hard day in her life--her father was an engineer and she married a doctor.

Incredible. We were 34 people and the bus was for 29. 5 people had to wake up early, paid and get back to their hotels. No planning!!!!! Delay for that inconvenience, therefore we couldnt stay much time at Bath.
