What a great tour to see this very historical place. Met in easy to get to location in central Salzburg with Walter as our guide. He was so fun to listen too with so much knowledge about the areas we traveled through. The trip to Bavaria were Eagles Nest is located was a nice easy and very scenic drive from Salzburg. It's so beautiful as the top and the tour gives you plenty of time to explore and take lots of pictures. We stopped for a nice town for an ample lunch/shopping break with easy walk to the buses. A green day!

Had a nice trip to the Eagles Nest and Berghdesgarten . Only improvement would have been for my husband and I to have been able to sit together. I enjoyed meeting new people, though. I found the alpine views breathtaking. And when our guide, Walter ( who was excellent) said Hitler never enjoyed them because he was afraid of heights, I felt glad. He didn’t deserve to enjoy this site. This trip is a must see...and take the morning bus. The place gets jammed as the day goes on.

The tour was amazing. However, the price is substantial compared to what you actually get to see. Maybe my wife and I expectations were too high but it was still a great tour. The tour guide is very knowledgeable and hilarious. He was informative, entertaining, and made the ride fun. Would go again but would drive to the Eagles Nest ourselves.

We had an excellent day going to the Eagles nest. First of all, the bus was waiting for us when we arrived at the Square. We were welcomed to the trip by Walter an experienced professional guide. The bus was clean, comfortable, new and has Wi-Fi. Walter was informative, knew the history was a good storyteller and kept it humorous. The buses ran like clockwork, the driver was safe. When we got to the Eagles nest we were officially move through the tunnel and up the elevator to the Eagles nest. After a brief introduction we were allowed to explore on our own views were beautiful!! On the way back, Walter went on the bus to each person and asked them if they had a good time. He shared photos with the group on the TV screens on the bus. I would do this trip again!

The best way to get there is from Salzburgh which is a relatively short journey on the coach . The other advantage is that you can get there relatively early in the morning before the crowds descend leaving the rest of the day free for other tours such as ' The Sound of Music '.Even if you have no interest in the history surrounding the Eagles Nest the views are breath taking.

Overall, the Eagles Nest itself was beautiful and the destination was a must-see. But for the money I paid, I expected to have a tour guide that would not repeat the same thing 4 times because he lacked information. The drive itself was very pretty and the location was really awesome because it had so much historical significance and was fun to walk up to the very top since there are a lot of cool rock formations/plaques to read. Not to mention how beautiful the view was. But if you go, know that there is the possibility of having a tour guide that did not know what was happening.

The Tour was very basic. Well organized, but somewhat rushed. I would have liked to have had more time at the Eagle's Nest. Believe we had about 1.5 hours, so didn't have time to sit for a snack and soak in the surroundings. The Tour Guide Walter was exceptional. He provided insightful commentary and added in a lot of humor to make the day very fun and informative.

This tour was really good, just to see a piece of history, all be it not pleasant history. It is worth doing just for the views.
