  • Visit to the village of St Wolfgang and the gothic altar in the village church
  • Visit the famous White Horse Inn for optional refreshments

Begin your city tour in Salzburg’s central Mirabell Square. Join up with your guide and travel toward Mozart's Birthplace, where the renowned composer lived with his parents and sister until his teenage years. Continue over the Staatsbrücke, the main bridge of Salzburg’s city center, into the UNESCO-listed Old Town. Marvel at the imposing facade of the Salzburg Cathedral and the district's Baroque architectural gems.
Continue past the Nonnberg Abbey and see the impressive Castle Leopoldskron, featured in The Sound of Music. After learning about the history of the palace from your guide, head back to Mirabell Square.
Here, hop aboard your coach and soak up the scenery on the way to the Lake District. See Fuschl Castle, once home to Austrian royalty and now a high-end hotel.
Visit the village of St Wolfgang and see the pilgrimage site of the parish church. Inside, check out Michael Pacher's famous Gothic altar. Afterward, sip on a beverage and relax at the White Horse Inn.
From there, glide across Lake Wolfgang on a boat ride to the village of St Gilgen (May to October only), the birthplace of Mozart's mother.
After exploring St Gilgen, hop back aboard your coach, passing Huttenstein Castle and Lake Mondsee. Your 5-hour tour will conclude with transportation back to Salzburg.

The best tour on our two week adventure. We had explored Salzburg on our own but the tour with Mirkor was very informative. There were only 2 couple for the lakes part of the tour so Anne Marie drove us in a mini van through the beautiful scenery to St. Wolfgang and St. Gilgen. She put us on a boat which was fantastic and met us on the other side. I can't say enough good things about our tour guide, Anne Marie. She had a delightful Montreal English accent and an equally delightful personality. She made us feel that she wasn't just a tour guide but she was participating in the adventure with us. She played a few minutes of Austrian music for us yodeling which was surprisingly pleasant as we sailed through the beautiful countryside. We're home now but I have very good memories of our little tour. She recommended an excellent local bier garten and dropped us off nearby Die Weiss.

Great overall experience and good way to see the city and the lakes in one dsy - punctual and organised service, experienced guides, comfortable transportation, let alone the stunning scenery all along.

City tour is ok for a quick tour of the highlights of Salzburg. To see more, you ne d to get out and walk around the old town area. Lakes and mountains tour was nice, but be ready for the crowds, especially around St Wolfgang.

was not worth in

Disappointing tour. The City Tour is a pure bus tour, and there is practically no chance to get out of the bus to see the various sites. The second part -- the ferry tour is too long.

The city tour was honestly a partial waste of time, as we spent all the time inside a minivan with the driver/tour guide. However, one hour would not have been enough to see everything he showed.

The BEST part of the tour, and what was totally worth doing, was the boat ride to the lakes and mountains and visit to St. Wolfgang. Absolutely breathtaking, seeing the alps, beautiful waters of the lakes, and seeing the little towns with colorful houses. We have a wonderful time.
