One of the very best Viator tours we have taken!

Our guide in Córdoba was Paqui. She absolutely made this tour!

After being driven to Córdoba by bus by one company, the group was turned over to another tour company, and sorted into groups by language.

The tour began in the gardens of the Alcázar Real royal palace of Córdoba. This building and its attendant gardens are splendid, and our guide, Paqui, carefully explained all that we were seeing. The tour was conducted in an orderly fashion, and everything we saw was put into rich context by our guide.

Next we proceeded to the Judería, the old Jewish Quarter. Again, Paqui's enthusiastic narrative and thorough explanations of the buildings we saw brought this area to life and provided considerable context.

Finally the pièce de résistance -- La Mezquita, the Grand Mosque of Córdoba. This enormous building is truly magnificent! Once again, Paqui brought the building to life, carefully tracing its development, its construction and expansion in three main stages. She began with the oldest section, then moved the group along to each added section. At each stage, she explained the changes, additions, and alterations in a lively way which made the building seem to come alive. This building is a must-see if one is in Andalusia!

The tour ended at La Mezquita. From there the group had about half an hour to shop before returning to the Alcázar Real for the bus trip back to Sevilla.

This tour is a must for anyone interested in Córdoba!

Our guide Rafael did so much to make this tour enjoyable. In addition, he was a veritable font of knowledge.

It was a lovely trip that began in the orange orchards outside the Alcazar. our guide Rafa was an extremely rational thinking gentleman who gave us a deep insight into the history of Spain and Seville. It was amazing to know of the co-existence of the three religions over the centuries. The walk through the mosque-cathedral, gardens and the quaint town of Cordoba with the Jewish quarters was an unforgettable experience. Thanks to Rafa, we understood Islamic con and Jewish contribution to this land.
