Spend hours of free time at Krka National Park, where you can swim and relax under Skradinski buk, a travertine waterfall on the Krka River. This day trip from Split includes minibus transport to the town Skradin, a short boat ride down the river to the falls, and entry to the Ethno Museum.
  • Day trip to Krka National Park from Split
  • Spend hours of free time at Skradinski buk
  • Swim under the waterfalls or hike the paths
  • Includes round-trip minibus transport and boat ride
Board a minibus for Krka National Park, departing from a central location in Split. The scenic drive takes you to the small town of Skradin, where you embark on a short boat ride down the Krka River.

Arriving at Skradinski buk, you can find the largest travertine cascade system in Europe, with 17 steps up to 1,312 feet (400 meters) wide. You have hours here to explore independently; swim in the crystal-clear waters of the lower lake of the Krka Waterfalls —the only falls in the park where swimming is permitted—or see them from a different vantage point along the wooden walkway. You can follow the footpaths to an old water mill, stone houses, the Ethno Museum, restaurants, and more.

In the afternoon, meet up with your group for the return trip to central Split.

Why advertise something you don’t do
, Oct 2019
Paying for strictly the bus ride essentially. Easier to just search up buses departing from bus terminal in Split and do a self guided tour. Posting mentioned 4-5 hours of free time in Krka, which lead us to believe we could do one of the additional cruises once at the park. But we were held waiting 1 hour and 30 minutes waiting for the boat to come (which is already included as a part of the entrance ticket even without this tour). In the end, our free time in Krka ended up being around 2 hours and 30 minutes, which is enough to grab a bite and walk the main Skradinski Buk area. That’s about it.

The ride was very good and the falls are quite spectacular. Very nice place for a swim and a very pleasant walk around the lake and waterfalls. The falls are in different levels and look wonderful. Our guide Ivan was quite nice and funny. I highly recommend this tour.
Nice outting

Easy meet up spot, lady was funny/ friendly. You get bused with a bunch of people to a boat, then to the park. The rest you do yourself (wander, swim, eat, take a billion selfies). Definitely worth a visit. She gave good instructions on where to go, what to do.
Spectacular nature

Krka waterfalls are great for photography fans, one can swim directly below the falls or walk through peaceful trails. Also, refreshment opportunities are sufficient.
Badly organized

I had booked this trip way in advance but was dismayed that I was among a small group of people who were bumped from the tour due to overbooking and basically shoved to another tour agency, who did not provide some of the services that I had paid for. The group then left an hour later than was stated. There was no guide after we were dropped off, no river cruise ticket was given. I managed to find my way to the falls, which were beautiful, but this was such a disappointing service. Gave a score of 2 instead of 1 because they gave a partial refund.
Fantastic day at the waterfalls
, Aug 2019
We had a great day at the waterfalls. We met at an easy and prominent location and were quickly sorted into coach groups. It was a short walk to the coach, which was nicely air conditioned, and we were on our way. Our guide was lovely and funny, and went ahead when we arrived and sorted all our tickets. You get on the boat from the parking area down to the waterfalls and she made sure we all stayed together and got on the same boat. We then had our free time to wander round the park as we wished. We spent pretty much the whole time swimming in them and eating, which wouldn’t do for everyone but this is why we chose this tour, as you have plenty of time to spend as you wish rather than sticking to tour schedules. The meeting point to leave was at the top of the park, so we still had a nice leisurely walk through. Great day, would highly recommend.

The guide was great for this trip--he was clear about where we needed to be and when. This was more of a self-guided tour, which was great since the park was not that large so we could choose how long we wanted to hike or swim. I also toured the Plitvice Lakes while in Croatia, and enjoyed that tour more, so I would not say that the Krka Waterfalls are a must-see if in the country, but still a great trip either way.
Awesome trip !

We really enjoyed the trip. The only explanation missing at the beginning is that the park is HUGE. The instructor only showed us the drop off point and the pick up point and it was late into the day that we found out that the part is HUGE and we can go on walking for hours.
Look into transportation on going by yourself

After meeting next to the designated statue which was easy to find, we waited an extra 15 minutes for late-comers. We then followed our tour guide at a sprint, practically running about 500 yards to the bus stop near the waterfront and cruise ships. I have no idea if everyone kept up! It was very hot and humid and it was tough walking so fast for older folks. After getting on the bus, we did get some AC but the exhaust fumes from the city came right into the air on the bus. Halfway there we were told the toilet on the bus was broken. When we were waiting for the guide to buy the tickets I paid 50 kuna to use the toilet. Since my daughter had to go show her student ID, she didn’t have time to use the toilet. All questions to the guide were put off until later — “ I will tell you “. The boat ride was nice and scenic. Then when we finally got into the park it was another sprint to the information map where she gave a whole bunch of information before everyone was even present. So we missed half of what she said. She did take questions but answers were minimal. She seemed to be doing her best but she could have been a little nicer with cautions and tips on having a good day. It would have been great to hear the first half of whatever she said! When we went to the bus station EARLY because she told us not to be late - we found the guide one section past the public bus station. Got on the bus. People who ran upstairs then waited at the top of the extremely hot bus for 40 minutes while we waited for people who were late. The bus had missed our appointed time to go up the mountain road and there is not room for two busses on the road at a time so we had to wait. AC was almost nonexistent at this point, although she said it was on full maximum. The driver was VERY safe on the roads but my seatbelt was broken. This is not a cushy tour. Barebones transportation and ticket buying help. The park is very pretty but it takes a hardy soul to walk on the rock paths which are very slippery and worn. One of our party fell and got a bad bruise on broken steps down to the toilet area. Bring cash for the WC or walk up 100 stone steps to the free one. There is a small waterfall and little streams for little kids but the swimming by the big waterfall is dangerous and there doesn’t seem to be any emergency facilities in case someone gets pulled into a current. If you are American and used to being safe — Be very careful!
