Your tour begins with pickup from your Vienna accommodation, where you’ll board an air-conditioned vehicle and greet your guide and small group. While your guide offers a historical overview of Vienna, you’ll trace a scenic loop around Ringstrasse, a collection of grand boulevards flanked by Vienna Opera House, the Gothic Rathaus, and the elaborate Kunsthistorisches Museum (Museum of Fine Arts).
Admire the colorful façade of Hundertwasserhaus, an apartment building designed by an Austrian artist, before you continue along the Danube River to Vienna Prater Park, an amusement park reigned over by the iconic Giant Ferris Wheel.
See, too, the Baroque beauty of the 18th-century Belevedere Palace (Schloss Belvedere) before you arrive in Baden, a popular spa resort and birthplace of one of the world’s most influential composers, Ludwig van Beethoven.
Travel through the picturesque district of Helenental to Seegrotte Hinterbruhl, a mysterious mine that harbors the largest underground lake in Europe. Here, you’ll have the option to take a boat ride on the subterranean lake for an additional fee.
Your tour culminates with a visit to Schonbrunn Palace, a UNESCO-listed treasure formerly home to the Habsburg dynasty. On arrival here, you’ll have the option to admire the palace from afar and return to Vienna with the group, or to take a guided tour of the palace and make your own way back to Vienna (both at your own expense).
If you choose to return with the group, your tour concludes with hotel drop-off.
