What To Expect

Departing from the central Vienna, the morning, afternoon, and evening tours have varying routes, but each takes you on a relaxed adventure through the most stunning parts of the city. Soak up an intimate experience as your guide explains the rich history behind the stunning landmarks you pass. See the Itinerary for more details on each departure time.
Morning and Afternoon Tour Set out on your guided bike tour from central Vienna and admire the world-famous Vienna State Opera house and explore within the Ringstraße Boulevard with its impressive historical and government buildings including the Austrian Parliament Building (Parliament) and Rathaus (New City Hall). See the grandeur of Hofburg Palace and bike through its grand public square, the Heldenplatz. Follow your guide past the elegant Burgtheater and ornate St Stephen's Cathedral, the seat of the Archbishop of Vienna. View the Albertina, a palatial art museum Cross the bustling Karlsplatz and see magnificent St Charles' Church (Karlskirche), visit the colorful Hundertwasserhaus building, and bike through the Wiener Prater with its monumental ferris wheel. After riding across the beautiful blue Danube River, pass the architecturally significant Austrian Postal Savings Bank (Postsparkasse) and sprawling Stadtpark with its famous statue of Johann Strauss II before finishing your 6-mile (10-km) bike ride. Evening Tour This tour is more about enjoying Vienna's atmosphere rather than ticking attractions off your list. Start your guided bike ride in central Vienna and travel through the streets at a leisurely pace. As the sunset casts a gentle glow on grand old buildings, imagine how Vienna looked more than a century ago when the Habsburgs rode through the city on evening carriage rides. Continue your ride, admiring majestic Viennese monuments illuminated against the twilight sky. Conclude your 6-mile (10-km) bike tour back in central Vienna.

A brilliant way to see...
Clare_R, Dec 2022
A brilliant way to see sights across the city. Much easier than walking. With a great guide who gave us lots of information.
Great experience!
Rachel_U, Oct 2022
We loved our bike tour experience! There was 14 of us which was a good group size and our guide Horst was awesome - very knowledgeable and passionate about the city. It was a rainy day and we still had an amazing time. Highly recommend this tour! Learning more about the history of the city makes it even more beautiful. :)
Great way to see a lot of Vienna!
Jeffrey_A, Oct 2022
Marco was an awesome guide and extremely knowledgeable regarding history, politics (old and new) and did an amazing job given the 3 hour time limit and the fact that we were riding for a good portion of the tour. He was super friendly and welcomed questions (and usually had answers). Would highly recommend to anyone!

Great way to see Vienna
Kathy_M, Oct 2022
Great tour with good mix of historical sites, information and riding along the canal and in the park. High quality bikes in great condition. There were about 12 people in our group and it was raining for most of the tour. Our guide did a great job of keeping the group together and out of the rain at our stops. Picked up some great tips (inexpensive SRO ticket to the Opera House, biggest beer garden). Other reviewers noted the groups were too large to stay together, it wasn't an issue with our group. Glad we took the tour even though the weather didn't cooperate. Would do it again.
Definitely worth doing

Great guide Horst showed us all the sights. It was a fun time. We learned about Vienna history and culture all the whole biking in a beautiful city.

Too many riders
Claudia_C, Aug 2022
Way too many people on bike ride--18 riders. Lots of time spent waiting for all riders to make it through lights and reassemble as a group. Guide was informative and did the best possible under the circumstances. Really unfortunate. We rode bikes five times in the Netherlands, Germany and Austria and this was our least favorite ride.
Response from Host, Aug 2022
Sorry that this was your experience. We limit our group size to 18 participants but still try our best to offer a fair price and fee for our guides. Otherwise we offer private tours for those who wish for smaller groups and a tailored experience. Unfortunately Viennese traffic lights are still quite 'car friendly', hopefully this will become more 'Dutch' in the years to come. Thank you for your feedback.
Highly recommended

Excellent and very friendly guide. She knew a lot of new things to tell about the city. We stopped several times to listen to her nice stories. She knew a lot of the history and answered all our questions.

Wonderful Vienna
Gregory_H, Aug 2022
Martin was a great guide and made it a memorable trip even in the pouring rain. The bikes were excellent and the route was easy. Vienna is obviously a very impressive city and seeing it by bike was ideal. Thank you.

Groups are too large
Neva_B, Aug 2022
The city is beautiful and fun to bike but O would consider a different operation. They were not friendly at all, gave no intro to the bike at all. The group was much too big which caused difficulty staying together and more risk. Not even info on the stops and not enough info stops.. a lot of stops to wait for others though. The had 20+ bikers which is too many.
Solo bike ride

Wonderful day in Vienna
Kellie_W, Jul 2022
This was a wonderful tour and a great way to see the beautiful city of Vienna. The information was great. Lots of stops to take pictures and discuss. Guide answered all our questions. The tour was about 8 miles but it was timed nicely and not exhausting. It was mostly flat. The bikes were high quality and in great condition.
Response from Host, Aug 2022
Thank you so much Kellie! We hope on seeing you again here soon. Glad that you liked it.
A lovely way to see a beautiful city.
Sally_L, Jun 2022
Peter was an excellent guide, knowledgeable and funny. He was also courteous and thoughtful, it was a very hot day and he was careful to make sure all our stops were in the shade. The bikes were good sturdy mountain bikes, well maintained although not brand new. There was an option to upgrade to an electric bike but unless you have an iss I wouldn’t bother. The city is pretty much flat. Would absolutely recommend this trip.
Response from Host, Jul 2022
Thank you! Our guides always try to adapt the tours to the external factors and we are happy that you liked it.

Best way to see Vienna sites
John_K, Mar 2022
The tour was 3 hours, just the right length to see a range of buildings and locations in the city centre and further out. Lothar is an excellent guide. He gave full and enthusiastic descriptions of all the sites we visited and took very broad questions on the associated history. The bikes were v easy to ride and the route was not hilly. I would strongly recommend.
Response from Host, Mar 2022
Hi John, thank you for your thorough review. We are happy that you enjoyed your bike tour!
Awesome experience!
Carla_G, Nov 2021
Great time - Horst, our guide, was the best. Funny and full of knowledge. A true ambassador for Vienna.
Response from Host, Mar 2022
