This full-day tour of Wieliczka and Krakow starts with a hotel pickup from Lodz a little before 7a.m. For this tour, you can choose your group size from one to eight people (prices vary). During the day, you’ll enjoy a basic lunch at a local restaurant. Once you get into your vehicle, sit and relax on the long drive over to Wieliczka. The drive is about two hours with no traffic.
First follow your guide over to the Wieliczka Salt Mines, one of Poland’s national historic monuments. The mines were run by Żupy krakowskie Salt Mines company and used to make table salt up until 2007. Stroll through the two miles of underground corridors before getting back in your vehicle to go to Krakow.
In Krakow, make your way through the Old Town, and catch sight of Cloth Hall. Other places you’ll see in the city include Town Hall Tower, Krakow Barbican, and St. Mary’s Basilica. Your day ends with a drive to Lodz.
