Really fun tour with an interesting and funny guide. And he can sing. We had a great time learning about the different folktales of Iceland. We were all kept fully engaged and entertained the entire time. Want to know about necropants? You'll have to take the tour and find out. Highly Recommend!

We loved hearing the Icelandic folk tales from our guide Stefan. We walked to different locations (even to the cemetery!) to hear about the magic of elves and trolls. I highly recommend this tour for those who are fans of mythology or fantasy. We had a great time!
A fun way to learn about Icelandic folklore and myths!

This was such a great tour to get some background on the mythic & folklore traditions of Iceland! Our guide Stefan was amazing! He told us all the folktales and myths in a lively, engaging way that we really appreciated. Instead of summarizing the stories, he actually told them to us with so much expression and even sound effects that I think made the tour and really gave us a feel for these stories that are a big part of oral storytelling tradition here. He was also a trooper because our tour was outdoors and complete with strong winds, rain, snow, and freezing rain all in the span of an hour and a half and he didn't seem the least bit fazed. He kept us entertained through a long stretch of bad weather and we had a great time! This is a great experience for anyone looking for a fun way to learn about Icelandic folklore and myths.

What a wonderful walk, despite the rain. Both the adults and kids enjoyed the stories and knowlege of Stefan. It was just our party of 8 and it inspired us to purchase a few books to read more of these tradional stories. Nice Job Stefan!
I did the tour this past Sunday night...

I did the tour this past Sunday night with Stefan and it was great. He was a great storyteller and enjoyed sharing it with us on the tour. It was a fun way to walk around part of Reykjavik and learn of some of it's mythical stories. Doing this tour at sunset with an overcast sky helped set the mood too.
Did We Get Ripped Off? No Tour, No Call, No Email, No Refund--They Simply Vanished

I was looking forward to this tour more than anything else we had planned during our trip to Iceland; it was absolutely going to be the highlight of our week. We arrived at the designated spot a full twenty minutes before the tour was scheduled to begin and waited for over an hour. Neither the guide nor group showed. I checked my phone and email for messages, never found anything. I tried calling the tour office and got no answer, no voicemail. This was the first negative experience we had on a trip that was otherwise exceeding expectations. Did we get ripped off?
Wonderful Experience!

Such a great tour! The guide was knowledgeable in both folklore and local history, as well as quite personable. My husband and I LOVED hearing the ghost stories! Very nicely paced walk, even for someone a little out of shape such as myself. Not the best for small children, as the ghost stories might have to be sugarcoated so as not to scare the little ones. Very highly recommend!
