DO NOT USE!!!! Ridiculously high price with no hotel accommodation included. The driver changed the route entirely and missed out Mecknes Not interesting. Far too long car journeys.
A rip off!!!
Terrible in every sense of the word. The guide was so not interested in explaining anything or even taking photos. He was on his phone most of the time and even ran a personal errand half way! He also only takes you to his friends shops and implies you have to buy something from them!
Abdullah and nephew was great. The pace was my own since I was the lone passenger .Polite ,friendly and the usual meandering through the different shops.I was not feeling too well due to the heat.In the end,I bargained on a beautiful kilim from rug coop which I signed at the back. They showed it to me because of my requested resized alteration before it was rolled and packed in front of my eyes.I told them of my sister's experience not sure if it was the same placethat the kilim runner she got even though she signed it was not the saffron color she had bought instead got a red one..she did not see it.. packed in front of her eyes.I had lunch in a restaurant that was delicious but could not finish it as it was good for 2 or 3 people.
I honestly do not know how any tourist could visit Fes WITHOUT a tour guide. There are over 9,000 streets in Fes... you are bound to get lost and wander into unsafe territory. So if you do visit Fes and are in need of a tour guide... Abdelali is your guy! He came to our hotel and picked us up in an air conditioned car. From the start, he made note of the sights that we were most interested in seeing and mapped out a strong itinerary for 4-5 hours to make sure that we were able to see it all. We were very happy with the tour, especially considering we were more limited than usual because of Ramadan. But we really got to experience the city of Fes in a fairly short amount of time, and that's largely in part to the local knowledge and expertise of Abdelali. He's your man for Fes!
I have probably taken about 20 Viator tours throughout the world, and this was the worst one by far. The guide took me to several locations to purchase from merchants he knew. His photography tour involved taking me to places where the Fez/Meknes/Volibulus tour took me the previous day in the city of Fez. There was nothing really new. However, the key item was that my guide asked for payment at the conclusion of the tour. Although the Medina is huge and very complex, he arranged to ask me for payment right next to a ATM machine and asked me to withdraw money. I refused. If I had been on my first tour with Viator, I would have paid him twice! This was a scam and does not reflect the wonderful tours I have had in the past with Viator. I will continue to use them because they are the best. Advice: Ask tour guide for culture and no shopping! You can always shop on your own time.
Chefchaouen is a beautiful city, and definitely a must see for anyone travelling to Morocco. This daytrip provides a vehicle and a driver. That's all. The drive takes almost 4 hours, as the route takes you along a winding road. The trip was comfortable, as the vehicle is big and air conditioned .On arrival, we had to pay extra for a guide to take us through the Old Medina - this was worth it- but I had expected it to be included in the price, as the voucher said 'Private Tour'.
Great experience! Hakim was so nice and friendly, guided us to the best panoramic shots and an extremely delicious restaurant that was nicely priced. Chefachuen we were left to navigate for ourselves, which was greeat as it was a small city and meant we could explore at our own paces. Hakim is a very good driver- safe and smooth!
Chefchaouen is so beautiful. The driver was nice, but that's all he was. We wanted a guide to tell us things but basically it was like we hired a driver.
Our guide Hakim was very willing polite and nice young man.He was willing anywhere on the request to stop so we could take photos.Unlike the previous trip to the Sahara had Hakim a functioning air conditioning and really very clean car.Chefchaouen is a beautiful blue town with a small but nice medina where you can't lose.
Our expectations may have been too high but we expected a guide that told us about the history and culture of the locations we saw on our trip instead we got driver that took us to Fez. He was very nice and accommodating for what he did provide.
Excellent day - great driver and guide. Very comfortable and authentic.Thank you very much to all involved.
This city is absolutely fantastic to see and unique. I added this last minute to my travels, and I'm so happy I did. The only down side was that the driver hired a guide for us when we got to the city. This is normal in most Moroccan cities. The guide rushed us every time we wanted to stop and take pictures even though the driver told us to take our time. After taking us to all the best blue areas, the guide then took us to a Berber shop to show us carpets, blankets and jewelry. Since we had been rushed everywhere else, we expected to be rushed here...but of course the guide said take all the time you need. Of course we were frustrated because we had just been rushed around the city, but once we got to the shop we had all the time in the world. This is very typical of the tours in Morocco...so beware of being forced to do unwanted shopping. With all that said, I'd do it all over again to see such a unique and beautiful place.
this wasn't a private tour as much as a private driver. He was very courteous and accommodating but I had expected him to be our tour guide and walk inside of each of these places and explain what we were seeing, etc. Like a normal tour guide usually does. Instead he dropped us off at each location and would be waiting for us outside. At one place, he originally was going to have us pay for the ticket to enter but then ended up paying after I had shown him that on the voucher, it had said entrance fees were included in tour. Each of these places are a must to visit though.
