Excursión de aventura El Calafate: Senderismo por el glaciar Perito Moreno

This tour is very nice. You get to see the Perito Moreno really well and it's very special to hike a glacier.
I wouldn't recommend booking this tour through Viator though. You still have contact the local tour operator to confirm a few things, so you might as well book the tour with the local tour operator Hielo y aventura, which is about 50-100 cheaper per person. We booked it in advance because the local tour operator didn't accept Mastercard and we were afraid the tours would be fully booked but there's always a spot left.

I wish I could give zero stars but I'll give it a 1 because the actual glacier was unbelievable and a must see. Unfortunately Viator is the worst site to use for booking excursions. They don't provide accurate information or follow up. For example we booked both the glacier tour and a day trip to Chile to see Torres Del Paine. For BOTH of these excursions Viator sent information saying to contact the tour companies they assigned to us but when I contacted the companies multiple times I never got confirmation of pickup. In fact the companies listed in the Viator confirmation ended up NOT being the companies that picked us up. Only when I had the hotels call did I get the final confirmation and this didn't happen until the night before the tour. Again- no email confirmation- completely unresponsive tour companies and unless you micromanage EVERY detail and sweat it out with your local hotel you run the risk of not even making a tour you spend hundreds of dollars on. Ditch Viator ditch the vendors they use and find one that's responsive separately. That's my recommendation. I won't be using this site again for excursions.But you must see the Glacier if in Patagonia.

Absolutely incredible trip! The highlight of my trip to Patagonia. Every staff member along the way was kind and just fantastic. The bus pick up came a bit late, but they had called my hotel ahead of time to alert me. The scenery was indescribable. I wish we could have spent more time on the walkway but agreed with the design of the tour to have more time on the actual glacier. The chocolate and whiskey at the end of the trip was a very nice touch. The hike does not require you to be in shape, although it does help as the climb can be steep at times. However, the crampons make the climb almost effortless. I read a review that said stop reading and reserve this tour. I listened, and I again pass that on to you!

Amazing! A MUST in El Calafate.

Very unusual experience. The hike on the glacier was great. The later view from the observation deck was fantastic. Guides were great.

Excellent experience. We celebrated with whiskey and chocolate at the end. Guides were extremely knowledgeable and emphasized safety. I would do it again. Scenery is amazing.

What an amazing experience. Breath taking at every moment. There is no more beautiful place in the world than the Perito Moreno Glacier. I wish I could capture the sounds of the glacier in my photos. A must for anyone visiting El Calafate. I still can't believe I actually hiked in the glacier. I'm not very fit and was worried but it was no problem. Tip: bring hiking boots and gloves as gym shoes hurt in crampons and gloves are required. The tour guides were knowledgeable and friendly without getting in the way of a true experience. Would love a repeat of this tour!

Fantastic experience! Hiking on the glacier was easy and fun! The guides were knowledgeable and fun! Don't just go look at the glacier, hike it as well! It is worth the money and time!

OMG, must do! Simply just book it and don't read any other reviews. Only advice is to bring your own gloves which are required. Well worth it
