This was the best day ever. We had a tiny group on a Wednesday of six people my kids, mom, and I were 4 of the 6. The guide was awesome, our local guide in Venice was just the best I'd ever had. This was by far one of my best memories in Italy ever. Thank you so much for a nice time!

This was a good tour but more a simple walking tour around Venice with time spent at a glass blowing demonstration for some reason. If I had to do over I would just take the train to Venice directly and have more time there.

A VERY LONG day trip! We travelled by taxi, bus, train, water taxi, gondola and the reverse order to get back to Florence. About a 14 hour trip. Venice is a beautiful city, however the travel time did not leave a great deal of free time to see St. Mark's. Very long Lines. We enjoyed it but would maybe recommend taking the train directly from Florence to Venice in order to have more free time and less travel time.

Awful tour! I was staying in Siena and took a train to Florence to meet up for the tour. I spoke with the guide asap that I don't have any means to get back on Siena after the tour. They would not get me a driver and ended up staying the night at the train station.

We love Venice but would not participate in this tour again because of the logistics. First, the guide for the day didn't seem too interested in helping Americans. He gave the people around us maps and when we asked for one he said we don't get one because we were not students like other group participants. He then said we would receive a map later, which we never received, even after asking, and even though it is listed as part of the inclusions for the tour. They left the meeting point place earlier than the set time, thankfully, we also arrived early. The walking pace is fast so you really have to keep up! You walk to the bus area on the side of S.M. Novella station and board the bus. The bus travels for 3 hours to the Venice AREA but you de-board the bus 3 local train stops away from Venus and take the train into San Lucia station. This adds an hour both ways with parking, walking, boarding, traveling time, etc. to an already long day. I'm not sure why the bus doesn't go to San Lucia, and I'm sure there's a reason for it, but it would have been MUCH easier to take the Frecciarossa to San Lucia, then join a tour there since the train is 2 hours direct from S.M. Novella to San Lucia train station. Once arriving in Venice, you hop on a private boat that is much like the Venice water taxis. You then de-board near San Marco square but have to walk a bit to get there. Once there, you go straight to a glassblowing presentation, which is incredibly amazing and beautiful, but is essentially aimed at selling glass articles. You then have 1.5 hours to eat and make your way to the meeting point to ride a gondola, which is 15 euros per person for a non-private gondola or 80 euros for a private. Our party was never given the option of the private gondola, although others around us were non-Americans. When we asked why we weren't offered that option, the guide simply said I can't change it now, with no apology or responsibility taken. You then go on a 2 hour walking tour. Paola, the guide for this portion of the tour, was fantastic. Unfortunately, due to the low quality of the speakers the company gave us, we couldn't make out what she was saying unless we stayed right next to her, which is impossible in the Venice labyrinth. Then you go back onto the local train to 3 stops away and reboard the bus. Both ways you stop at gas stations to use the restroom there are no restrooms on the bus, but there is water for which they charge 1 euro, which isn't bad. So, while we enjoyed Venice for the second time, we would not participate in the tour again.

This was a really exciting time. We got to Venice and were given a glass blowing demonstration first. We were then given time to either go on the gondola ride or spend the hour touring Venice alone. I chose the later and had lunch and did some shopping. We were then given a personal tour of the 6 districts in Venice by a guide. We promised to be nice and she was able to guide us through the city using the routes only locals use. This was a nice touch as we were able to get thought the whole thing in about an hour and I didn't feel rushed at all. Great time!!!

so much fun, our guide was funny and knowledgeable. It was nice to have someone who knows the layout of the city, we found an amazing little place off the main path to have lunch. I highly recommend getting out of the main crowd and explore.

The tour was fine for what it was, but I wouldn't recommend seeing Venice this way. It took forever to get there take a high speed train instead and then we didn't have much time to look around before we had to meet up with the group to go back. Most of the time was spent driving. Also, we couldn't go too far from the main square because we might get lost and miss the ride back.
