This tour was awesome. Its a must do tour. Our tour guide, Nezra, was very detailed oriented and patient. She gave clear details on the cultural background and history of Grenadian food. Nezra also gave us snippets of history on political and revolutionary events that occurred on the island of Grenada and how the events had an influence on its native people. The food from the restaurants was very good; as well as the desserts we received from the smoothie stand and chocolate musuem. Please treat yourself to this tour especially if it’s your first visiting. It’s wll worth it. I look forward to part taking in other tours offered by Savour the Spice and its tour guides. This guide is for personal and business interests.

My wife and I have made a habit of having two tours prearranged wherever we travel, a historical tour and a culinary tour. The Grenada Culinary Tour had to be one of the most informational and palate pleasing tours we have been on yet! Nezra introduced us to the the why, how, and where of Eastern Caribbean foods and history within St. George as well as being a conduit for direct interaction with the locals. Throughout the three hour tour and through sheer happenstance, private tour, we experienced the range between tourist and local cuisine and vendors. We highly recommend scheduling the tour for Friday or Saturday, when the fruit and produce market are open and in full swing try everything and then try it again later, particularly the Sapodilla fruit and Soursop smoothie. The only issue which you might encounter on the tour, is enjoying two full meals worth of food, and trying to find out how to procure many of the unique foods and fruits which you will sample.

Great walking tour. Addie, our guide, was knowledgeable and great fun. We made 7 stops on this tour and we tasted something at every stops. She took pictures along the tour that she is supposed to email us...can't wait to receive them! I highly recommend this tour if you want to learn about Grenada and its cuisine.

Absolutely one of the best tours we’ve ever done! What a wonderful, friendly ambassador not just for Grenada food but an articulate knowledgeable cultural resource she is. From our first stop on the vendor side of the outdoor market for salt fish, bake and lemongrass tea to the produce side for spices and education from Miss Gemma to the coconut water, sour sop and mango smoothies to the rum coffee and cinnamon bread to the roti and sorrel drink and finale of chocolate cheesecake with Addie we were wowed! I can’t imagine a better way to spend a cruise port call in Grenada!

Highly recommend! Tour guides were young, entertaining and knowledgeable. Go with an appetite! Started with a full lunch at Country Kitchen, a small local restaurant with curried mutton and chicken stew, before walking through the market where we enjoyed fresh coconut water in the coconut with a straw and especially enjoyed learning about spices from Jemma at Sister's. Then a trek up the hill to Old Fort St. George. It's a bit of a hike for anyone not in good shape. Then on to The Nutmeg restaurant for fabulous chicken roti before heading to The Chocolate Factory for a lesson in cacao bean to chocolate bar and treated to chocolate cheesecake and Nutmeg ice cream. Delicious! Finished off the tour by walking through the Sendall Tunnel back to the terminal. we thoroughly enjoyed this tour and would highly recommend.
