The tour never happened! We went to the designated location and waited around for quite a while. There was no one there and when we tried to contact the local tour company no one answered and the phone mail box was full so we couldn't leave a message. No one from the company has contacted us so we don't know what happened. VERY disappointing!

The guide was great...not a wine expert though...as advertised. The food was good, except one restaurant served cold....they did rapidly replace it with hot. Overall fun.

My husband and I really enjoyed our four-course dinner with paired wines. Each course was delicious, and being able to check out four different restaurants was great fun and a super way to familiarize ourselves with the ByWard Market area. We would recommend this tour to any traveler to Ottawa.

This was a fun and tasty treat! Also a great opportunity to discover great restaurants that we probably wouldn't have gone to otherwise. Highly recommended!

My wife and I took this tour while spending three days in Ottawa to celebrate our anniversary. The tour was top-notch all the way. Our guide, Scott, arrived at the meeting point right on time and since another couple did not show up, it was just the three of us. Our first stop was The Brig Pub where we had charcuteries and Chardonnay and from there, we proceeded to the Must Wine Bar where we enjoyed a plate of tiger shrimp ceviche, scallops, crab cabbage, carrot, and fennel slaw accompanied by a Sauvignon Blanc from Chile. Our third stop was Kinki Sushi and Lounge where, at our request, Scott asked the staff to substitute vegetable sushi in place of fish sushi. The wine selection here was an excellent German Riesling. Our fourth and final stop was the Side Door Kitchen where we were each served four small delicious doughnuts plus an Italian Chianti. The tour lasted from 5:30 p.m. until close to 8 p.m. and we were certainly never bored. Scott can talk all day about Ottawa and food and wine pairings and we also touched on many other subjects. It was a thoroughly enjoyable experience and we would recommend it to anyone.

An experience exploring various food items from different restaurants. A suggestion: do it as early as possible during your stay because you will discover some nice places to eat

Highly Recommended. My Husband and I booked this tour to try something new. The tour did not disappoint. We have been on other food tours before but none compare to this. All of the restaurants that we stopped at were truly amazing. Our guide was very knowledgeable of Ottawa and was able to give little stories about each restaurant and each chef which I found really interesting. The wine was really good too although I couldn't finish all of mine. We mentioned to our guide my parents had been married at one of the restaurants in the market and he arranged a surprise reservation at the restaurant after the tour was finished. Truly blew us away, I would recommend this tour to anyone!

The experience was excellent. The only thing that was lacking was that there was no rich Ottawa history on this tour as stated in the description nor was the guide a professional sommeliers ? The young lady that guided us was lovely but knew nothing about the byward market area or history? Would have liked more history. I asked to speak to the sommeliers at each restaurant which was lovely.. The first restaurant was not impressive in that we were seated right at a ledge/ counter along the kitchen, I could barely see the chefs hard at work because of stacks of dishes. Our backs were also turned on everyone. Not the experience I/we was looking for....no ambience....felt rushed to leave. The second restaurant by far was the best! Third restaurant - sushi. Not a good choice in my opinion, no culture, did not scream Ottawa by any mean. Desert for a gluten-free guest at the final restaurant was a plate of fruit....could have come up with something better for the price I paid! All in all, we had a nice time. Many improvements to be made, starting with our tour guide being a lot more knowledgable, she did great seeing she was only in the city two years.
