Descripción general

El salvaje noroeste argentino alberga algunos de los paisajes más espectaculares del país, y esta excursión para grupos pequeños de un día completo desde Salta es la mejor opción para disfrutar de todos los lugares de interés fotográfico. Maravíllese con el desfiladero de Humahuaca y el "Cerro de los Siete Colores", declarado Patrimonio de la Humanidad por la UNESCO; pose para fotos en las sorprendentes salinas blancas de Salinas Grandes; y compre artesanías en el legendario mercado de Purmamarca.
Su excursión de un día completo comienza con la recogida en su hotel en el centro de Salta en autobús con aire acondicionado. Admire el paisaje mientras se dirije al norte, serpenteando a lo largo del Río Grande y subiendo a través de las estribaciones de la Cordillera de los Andes. Eche un vistazo a la vida local a medida que pasa por los tranquilos pueblos de Yala, Volcán y Tumbaya, y disfrute de muchas paradas para contemplar las vistas y tomar fotos.

Llegada al animado pueblo de Purmamarca, famoso por su mercado diario de artesanías y su espectacular telón de fondo, a la sombra del Cerro de los Siete Colores (Hill of Seven Colors). Asómbrese ante los picos de múltiples colores, luego viaje a través de la quebrada de Humahuaca, a lo largo de los dramáticos desfiladeros de la Cuesta de Lipán, Cuesta de Saladillo y Abra del Potrerillo. Tome fotos mientras sube a una altura de 4.150 metros (13.615 pies), maravíllese con las vistas de las montañas y observe llamas y vicuñas pastando en las laderas.

Después de un viaje inolvidable, llegue a la atracción principal del día: las Salinas Grandes, una impresionante extensión de brillantes salinas blancas. Tendrá alrededor de 45 minutos para explorar las salinas, suficiente tiempo para experimentar los paisajes únicos y posar para las ubicuas fotos en perspectiva forzada.

Volverá a Purmamarca para disfrutar del almuerzo (por cuenta propia) en un restaurante de la zona y echar un vistazo a los puestos del mercado para recuerdos artesanales, antes del viaje de vuelta. Al volver a Salta, la excursión termina con la vuelta a su hotel.

Essentially the tour that I thought I booked was not what I received. But it was still such a beautiful place and decent drive. The approximately 2 hour stop in Purmamarca was long enough to visit the market and walk around after lunch. The guide Martin was fairly knowledgeable but sometimes spent too much time on tangential topics to the local scenery and history.

On the page of the tour it clearly states that the tour is limited to 15 people to make it a 'personalized experience'. I purchased this tour in part for this very reason. What I received was a large bus with AT LEAST 30 people. When I asked the tour guide he stated that no the tours were always that big. Very disappointed. Especially Considering that the day prior I was on a different tour my other Viator booking, and same description of 15 people or fewer and it was perfect, and was driven in a small van 15 people, and half the price!.

I found the tour's description of the destinations somewhat exaggerated. Humahuaca is clearly stated in the title description along with Salinas grandes and purmamarca. We visited all except humahuaca. How can you consider the three equal as in the title? This maybe works for a while as a marketing tool but the next person will hopefully be more informed after reviews come in.

This tour is amazing! The tour guide Jeremy and Fabian were exquisite, they explained everything a bout the mountains and the salinas, took their time providing incredible info. The scenery is just indescribable, your drive through the mountains that have so many colors.
the altitude wasn't a problem for me, but diffidently could feel it a bit, just recommend taking it easy. Would definitely recommend this tour!

The tour definitely delivers on its promise. It is a great value, considering the length of the drive. It is also a 'must do' if you are in Salta region. The scenery is absolutely breath taking. The guide was informative and spoke good English. I really admired the drivers patience to navigate the roads. I wish we had more time in Purmamarca to enjoy it's beauty we had 2 hours of which 1 hour was spent on lunch in a local restaurant. I would recommend staying overnight if you are not pressed for time.

The tour was great! The tour guide was fantastic, very knowledgeable. The route is beautiful and scenic so even if most time is spent on the bus, it gives you the chance to absorb the changing landscape and the information provided by the tour guide. Highly recommended.

This is a 'must do' if you are in the Salta region. It is a long day, but well worth it. Our guide spoke excellent English and was very inclusive with his commentary. The scenery is absolutely breath taking. We even got to try cocoa leaves as we climbed in altitude nearly 4200m!
