This was our last excursion in Florence and was a fantastic way to end our trip! We traveled from the city of Florence, with our chef David, to a small winery to visit their cellar, learn about Super Tuscan wines, and taste their delicious wine. Next, we traveled to the villa for the cooking class. David successfully guided us as we each created our own pizzas and then we made gelato as a group which included one couple and our family of five. We had a very fun experience! The only thing that we would maybe change for next time is to book a class during the day so that we can see the beautiful views during the drive to the villa and the area surrounding the villa.
Super fun family excursion. We only had 6 people in our group including the 4 of us and pizza making and gelato class with chef David was engaging, interesting and most of all fun for kids and adults. It's one of the highlights of our trip and we'd highly recommend it.
I did this activity twice, once with Nick and once with Giuseppe and Kevin. Each had different tricks to making the pizza dough and the gelato. We went out into the Tuscan countryside and tasted wine at a nearby winery and had as much wine as we wanted as we made the pizza. I recommend the rosé.
This was so fun. Jon and Brooke were so much fun and so great. Would highly recommend. Brought my kids age 16 and 28 and they loved it as well. This is great for preteens all the way to granny. Great way to spend an evening. Would do this again!!
The chefs teaching the class were great teachers and very entertaining. I would recommend everyone take a cooking class while visiting Tuscany. The food turned out great, the farm was beautiful and the wine tasty. Its is about a 25 minute drive to the location and they weren't planning on providing any commentary on the areas we were passing or really any information about the area or history. A few people in the group were requesting this and they finally caved and provided some info. I would hope they know if they are taking visitors on a 25 minute drive that they should entertain the guests with knowledge about their city. I also did feel like it was a little rushed. As soon as we were done eating, they had already cleaned up and were ready to take us back. A little more time to relax after eating would have gone a long way.
Guiseppe was great! Very entertaining and informative about the origins of wine and the region. Pizza and Gelato making was fun and tasted fantastic. And did i mention the view!! Amazing view looking over the Tuscan hills and wine region. Highly reccomend
Gorgeous setting! Small fun group with Chef Danielz. Made pizza crust from scratch, placed toppings. Used an indoor hot oven to cook them. Pizza was really good, we got to eat what we made individually. Chef made us a chocolate pizza dessert that was fantastic and was very entertaining! The gelato making was interesting and of course was fabulous!
My daughter and I absolutely loved this class!!! Alessio, our guide and teacher was wonderful. His instruction was easy to follow and so entertaining. We left with not only the confidence to make pizza and gelato at home, but with the recipes and a certificate as well. An absolutely wonderful evening.
Great activity to do while you're in Florence, the class was fun and informative! My only issue was that only 2/12 people got to make gelato, other 10 people didn't had any contribution in making gelato which was not fair.
Pizza itself was amazing, one of the best I've had, would highly recommend.
