Very full and interesting day
, ago 2019
We had a brilliant guide for our tour, My, who entertained and informed us all day long. She and the driver, Mr Tong, made sure that everything ran really smoothly. We knew we were pushing it to see everything we wanted to in one day, but had limited time in Saigon so booked the all in one tour. All practical arrangements went well, and we were provided with ice cold water which helped in the heat. The journey to the tunnels was 2 hours but broken by a stop at a government run facility where people with disability (affected by Agent Orange) produce traditional artwork. This we weren’t expecting, and we felt compelled to buy, given what we had already learned from My about the impact of Agent Orange. The time at Cu Chi Tunnels was very well spent, and we felt we had adequate time to learn and understand something of the history. Lunch was provided there which was really good. Another 2 hours in bus took us to Mekong Delta where we boarded a power boat, and then a rowing boat to see a range of features of that area, including again activities of local people who are making a living - coconut sweet factory, bee farm, fruit farm where we heard traditional music. We took another 2 hours to return to Saigon at the end of the day, a really good day. For the time we had available, it did the trick really well, but if we had longer I would have taken longer to explore the Mekong Delta as we didn’t get to see floating market which I would have liked. Recommend it.

Great day trip. Lots of driving but the van was very comfortable and as pictured. Phu the guide was outstanding and did everything he could to make a great day. The tunnels are busy but Phu managed this well. Lunch was a stand out.
Stand Out Tour Guide.! highly recommend

What a great experience. Our tour guides name was Hung, she had lots of knowledge about Vietnam and the war and also used humour very well in her delivery. The day was very enjoyable and educational. The vehicle was comfortable and exactly as described and as per the photos. It was so interesting to be able to go through the tunnels and they make it easy for people of any fitness levels to choose what option is best for them. The lunch was tasty and there was lots of food. We were lucky and had a great group of people. We did not feel any pressure to tip, however, the row boat ride at the end of the tour had a small tip expected (which was totally fine). I suggest other people ask their tour guide in advance if and where tips are expected on the tour and how much is reasonable. We got to try local honey and fruits. The tour is well constructed and the timing/ flow is great. We really enjoyed it and would recommend it to others.
A must do trip.....

Lan (Unicorn in Vietnamese apparently) our guide was superb, very informative and funny but without being too intense. There is a fair bit of ‘van time’ being driven to each location but that was fine to have a rest in the heat. The tunnels are a ‘must’ if you are in Saigon (Ho Chi Minh as it is called now but nobody calls it that). Many thanks, unique and unforgetable 👍😊

We paid $80 USD a piece for this tour which was way overpriced for what we received. We were a group of 4 and had an additional 3 added to our van. The van was air conditioned but the Wifi didn't work. We were incredibly disappointed in our tour guide and I wish I could remember his name. From the beginning he was more interested in making jokes, which fell flat (making fun of fat people, multiple lady boy jokes, poor taste jokes about people dying at the tunnels) than giving us accurate information. He also mentioned several times how we should tip him at the end of our trip. We quickly discovered that this tour is a way to get additional money from tourists. On the way to the tunnels you stop at a shop for the handicapped and you are asked to make a purchase or give a donation. After the tunnels we had lunch which was nothing special and not very authentic Vietnamese food like we had been eating on our own for the rest of our trip. Then we headed to the Mekong Delta which really felt like walking around through people's homes where again you are asked to give them money. We felt incredibly uncomfortable on the boat trip where nearing the end of the boat ride we were told we needed to tip the rowers, after giving a tip we were told we didn't give enough and the woman tried to reach into my friend's wallet to take more money. Overall for the $320 our group paid we were at a complete loss for what the high cost paid for. Save yourself the hassle and just book your own driver to see the tunnels and then head to the Mekong Delta yourself.
Excellent tour, educational and entertaining, great price, great value

We really love this full-day tour. It's very educational and entertaining, thanks to Vu, our amazing tour guide. She explained very well, great English, knew when to throw in some fun in between making the whole day was quite entertaining. The tour itself is great. We intentionally chose this tour that was using Bus both ways, which was much cheaper than the Speed boat and it also gave us plenty of sightseeing opportunity along the way. Best value overall.
A nightmare in the daytime.

Our guide, Lan (unicorn) was fantastic and shared his passion, interest and love for his country. Our driver Tong was excellent, avoiding several potential crashes caused by others. They would get 5 stars for their efforts. The tour itself is well structured, keeping you busy with a variety of sights and activities. It's a very commercialized tour, with flocks of tourists doing the same thing, overcrowding was a feature all day. What made our trip so horrendous was the companies decision to put us into a van with a family of 4 adults and 2 preschoolers. I know you can't pick your group members but no one is going to have a VIP experience when EVERYTIME they go in the vehicle the youngest preschooler screams non stop for 30- 40 minutes! The noise and duration of the crying, tantrums and screaming was terrible. I appreciate that noone could have predicted this behavior but anyone who's had kids and I've had 3 knows that an approx. 18 month old and a 4 yr old are not going to cope well with an 11 hour tour! The family should have been on their own and paid accordingly. To put us in with them to maximize company profits clearly was not in our best interests or offering us the luxury experience we paid for.
Fun Day on the Mekong

The limo van was very comfortable for the ride to the cu chi tunnels and mekong delta. Our guide Mr.Cung made the tour fun and interesting. He gave us many interesting facts and answered any questions we had. It was a very enjoyable day in Vietnam.
Incredibly accommodating

We had a family emergency come up that didn't allow us to take part in this trip but after contacting them, they rebooked us for a half day tour that same day which was so unexpected. The tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable as well. I would recommend them in a heart beat.
