This tour was one of the highlights of my trip to Iceland. I learned so much about the geothermal hot springs and how Iceland generates their energy. It was amazing to see the hot springs and experience the ground boiling underneath my feet. The tour had many stops and the guide kept us interested the entire time. I would highly recommend this tour.

I was not totally sure if this tour is what I wanted to do but in the end, booked it prior to my flight to Iceland. It turned out to be a great day. The bus was not too big and the driver was very friendly and very knowledgeable. Unfortunately, the Geothermal Power Plant was closed due to some flooding but everything else on the tour was very interesting and enjoyable. We stopped at various locations and had plenty opportunities for taking pictures. Lunch at Grindavik was good. We had a choice of Lamb Soup or Lobster Soup with bread and coffee or tea. It was interesting to see the volcanic landscape close up. All in all, it was a day well spent and worth the time and money.

Our guide, nicknamed Hershey because his Icelandic name was not pronouncable by any of us, was extremely personable, informative, knowledgeable, approachable, friendly, had a great sense of humor and shared alot of interesting information, including about himself. He circulated the chain of names that directly linked his lineage to Leif Ericson. The 8 hours went by really quickly!

This tour was amazing. All the stops were great and our tour guide gave us a lot of interesting information as we went along. The landscape was quite different from the one we saw in the other tours, so it is definitely worth the time.

Ok, a few of the trip details were cancelled due to the 1st being a public holiday and overall the trip/tour was ok, once again, take the money and deliver a average tour, the guide was good and the actual sites ok, but I would not go on this tour again and would not recommend it in my opinion

This van excursion covered some interesting places and sites along the peninsula and coastline just southwest of Reykjavik. We were impressed with the lava fields and geothermal hot spots along the way. The views of the church, lighthouse and coastline were also impressive and very attractive. The visit and tour of the geothermal facilities was also very informative. We were somewhat disappointed with the visit to the fishing town of Grindavik and the restaurant stop. The fishing town is really an industrial fish processing village and the restaurant at Grindavik is rather ordinary. We need to point out that the lobster soup is not included with this excursion and overpriced at 20 a bowl. At the end of this excursion we stopped at the Blue Lagoon for those who wanted to swim there. Overall, a really good tour as our guide was well informed and provided us with interesting information regarding the visited sites and history of Iceland.

Lava fields were interesting but overall a lot of driving and too many stops. Guide could have given more background and information. There were a lot of interesting stops, just a lot of them--stop, short drive, stop again.

Great day of sightseeing with a lovely tour guide, Siggi. He was very knowledgeable about the landscape and history of Iceland. We had enough time at each stop to take in the sights and hike around a bit. The bus was comfortable and not too crowded so we could spread out a bit. Wifi was also included! The one thing that needs to be incorporated is one more bathroom break before getting to the restaurant for lunch. Other than that we felt well taken care of.

This was a good off the tourist path type tour. We were very lucky with the weather, lots of sun, and that made the stops much better. Much of this is fascinating alien-looking terrain with steam vents and boiling mud pots. Stopping in a fishing village for a relaxing bowl of lobster soup outside in the sun by the water was a treat. On the road, our guide regaled us with history and stories. A good way to spend a day!

Our tour guide Marianne was very informative and very passionate. You can tell she loves her job. The visits to the geothermal areas, church and the geothermal energy plant were all educational. Iceland is a country made up of very different region. Reykjanesis one region you don't want to miss
