I initially was not keen on going on a pub crawl as I thought there might be too many people. After reading about small groups and getting to know other expats in out of the way pubs, I changed my mind. What a mistake! We met at Krystal Park and there were initially about 20, not a bad sized group. It kept growing until it reached approximately a hundred people. There was no cutoff number. People hanging out were invited to join as long as they paid the fee. We started over 30 minutes late. They divided us into two large groups - our first stop was 50 yards from where we met. There was no room in the pub so they brought boxes of beer outside. It was too busy to ask for a wine rather than a beer. We were not the only ones looking for wine. Those that didn't drink beer just went without. The second stop was more out of the way but by no means big enough for the crowd. Another tour group arrived with about 30 people. The music was so loud it was difficult to hear. After staying about 40 minutes, we decided we had had enough so left. The only good thing was that the tour was inexpensive.
