Gran manera de visitar Montserrat, especialmente si tienes tiempo limitado. Guía muy conocedor e inspirador, transporte decente y todo mantenido en el tiempo sin prisa.

After searching for hours I finally found this tour uniquely including both a hike and the choir, my top priorities. Upon arriving at Montserrat we were told that the choir was no longer included. They did propose an alternative tour which we did not accept. Btw we were stunned at the size of the crowds even at this time of the year.
expensive tour how what they deliver

we didn t use the funicular to go up the mountain. Tour guide excuse was the line is long. We didn t see Black Mary close up ( as mentioned in the tour description), & no Boys choir performance either. So it s not worth for the price.

Paula, our guide, and Toni, our driver, made our tour an informed and excellent experience. Paula was very knowledgeable and friendly. The tour provides a comprehensive overview of Monteserrat, including the history of the area. The hike is not difficult and Paula went at an appropriate speed. The views were breathtaking. I would thoroughly recommend this tour.
A must see if you have extra time in barcelona. The views are breathtaking!! The guides were very informative.

A must-see if you have time to go a little way from the city of Barcelona itself. The views from the hiking trail are breath-taking! The guides were exceptionally well informed and friendly. They described the history of Montserrat (as well as significant features of the surrounding Catalunya region as a whole) and led the group on a route that was physically less taxing than might otherwise have been the case had we been left to wander the mountain trails on our own.
Amazing!!

YOU NEED PROPER WALKING SHOES WITH TRACTION in order to survive this tour because for the hiking portion going down the hill is more challenging then going up the hill due to a very steep slope with gravel and sand. Now, with that being said, our guide Roger was very sweet, welcoming and knowledgeable. He explained the history of the monastery itself and during hiking we made several stops to look at different views as our guide engaged us into enjoying the beauty of the mountains. The mountains absolutely gorgeous. It's about 45 minute bus ride from Barcelona, we went on the mountains via cable train to visit the monastery, the chapel is beautiful with green marble columns, you can see a black virgin high up in the chapel. After that we went all the way up by a funicular train and we started hiking down after taking few pictures. The views are absolutely beautiful. I don't think we were rushed at all. He would have given us extra 15 minutes to listen to the boys' choir at 1:00pm, but he also explained that the church gets overcrowded and it's very possible that it might be possible to go inside to listen to the choir. All 12 people on our tour group did not care for the choir as much so we decided to skip it. Our two teenagers had a blast during 1 hour hiking portion because they love this kind of activity. After we hiked back down, we also had a chance to grab a bite at the restaurant right next to montserrat before returning back to Barcelona. If you can fit it in your itinerary, it's well worth a visit. Not recommended for anyone with any kind of knee, ankle or joint pain. I definitely recommend Roger even if you want him as your private guide.
