This trip was nothing short of amazing! I'm a Miami/Fort Lauderdale local and I have done tons of Everglades excursions over my lifetime, none have compared to this. First, you get picked up, which makes it extremely convenient. Our tour guide, Ben, was pleasant, knowledgeable, funny, and patient. He made it seem like he enjoyed the tour as much as we did. The tour itself included a walk at the Everglades National Park, where Ben explained various tidbits about the area and the animals that we saw. You can get a little dirty but that was part of the fun! After the walking tour, we went to the Miccosukee indian village, where a local explained customs and traditions. It was extremely interesting to learn about the culture. Lastly, Ben had us take an air-boat ride. It was a little over an hour ride. We spotted some alligators and different types of birds. The ride alone was worth it. It was exciting but safe-for those of you who worry. The boat tour guide was also very friendly and patient in showing us the different smaller islands. Needless to say, I highly recommend this tour if you're a nature lover and want to experience more than a cheap and quick air-boat ride from the competitors. Thank you Ben for a great time!
The guide was very good, but the van used for transport had a broken speaker system so sitting in the back we travelled 1 hour going to the nature walk but could not hear much of his description of the area. The nature walk was very good but the boat ride in the Everglades was a joke. A very noisy ride to see just a little more of what we had seen on the nature walk but it was a boat ride.
Fabulous! Everything about this tour was excellent from beginning to end! Ben was the most delightful and knowledgeable guide you could hope for. We learned so much from him as we walked along the canal in the Everglades National Park, with alligators sunning themselves on the banks! He pointed out all kinds of beautiful birds and told us about their habits and lifestyles. He explained how to survive in the Everglades by eating certain grasses and avoiding others that are very poisonous. The airboat was also exciting as we zoomed over the reeds, looking for alligators. Our airboat guide literally called over an alligator and had it stay right next to the boat as he explained their habits in detail - totally fascinating. Ben then dropped us off at our hotel and we were sorry it was all over. HIGHLY recommend this tour with Wild Lime Adventures through Viator!!!
Had a wonderful day with Stacy in the Glades. Saw turtle, lizards, many, many beautiful birds and well over 60 gators. Walks were casual, not rushed. Air boat ride was fun, well-interpreted and educational...so much fun to be out on the water. Great day!
This was definitely a highlight of my vacation to Florida! Our guide (Ben) was so knowledgeable, personable, and made sure we had a great time. We saw so many alligators on the air boat tour!! It was so much fun - I highly recommend this trip with Wild Lime Adventures! Thanks, Ben!
