It was an okay tour. The ATV part was good. Very easy course, but the 3.5 hours the majority of the tour is sitting around at the Garden of the Grove. I would say we were on the ATVs about 30mins max. We were a little disappointed because we signed up for an ATV tour not a tour of the Garden of the Grove. The Grove was pretty boring and the food prices were expensive and not anything that was local or what that area is known for. I can get burgers home. It just wasn't that great of a tour. The look out point was great and the ATVs were good which is what we signed up for, but most of the time you will be by yourself in the Garden of the Grove.
This was so much fun! If you love being outdoors and taking in the beautiful scenery you will love this tour! We went through some serious underbrush on the trail ride to the beach so the 4 wheeling was fun! At the beach area we saw live starfish, a sting ray and even conch shells! The views are breathtaking and our guide was really great at telling us stories about all of the areas we saw. The botanical garden was a treat as well with lots of shade trees, gorgeous waterfalls and beautiful plants that were all flowering while we were there. We truly enjoyed this tour!
My husband and I did this tour yesterday. Great time. Pickup at hotel was on time. Short distance to Garden of the Groves where we got a quick lesson and showed that we could handle the ATV. Two ladies had never ridden before and they did fine. So don't be afraid to try it. Mario and Alex were great tour guides.
My husband and I took this tour earlier this week and we can't recommend it enough. The ride was just the right amount of challenge - just remember there aren't hills in the Bahamas. We ended up sweaty and dirty, just the way you should be after riding ATVs! The views were just amazing and I was able to get some of the best pictures of our trip. The ride varied from jungle to dirt road to beach to paved road. The Garden of the Groves was also beautiful although we were pretty tired at that point. We took some pictures and then had a delicious lunch credit cards accepted at the restaurant there. Most importantly, Mario and Alex were the most entertaining part of our trip. The best tour guides of any tour we have ever been on! These guys are so energetic and fun... like a traveling comedy act. LOVED them!
The tour was amazing. The instructors went through the parts of the ATVs and how to use them for anyone who didn't know, did a quick course to make sure everyone got comfortable. I do wish they split up the fast and slow people because the faster people kept getting stopped when others fell behind
I give it 4 bcz I could have done w/o 1.5 hr Garden of the Groves tour and spent that on the ATV ride simply bcz I'm not an outdoors type of person, although the garden did have some sights for those that would be interested in seeing, I even took a few pics there. One thing you must BE AWARE of, the SPIDER WEBS while on the garden tour, some stretch from one side of the walkway or tree branches to the other and the spiders are big if you see them. The ATV tour was by far the most fun I had on my vacation while visiting Freeport. Prior to departing for the tour our tour guide Mario asked for a show of hands of how many approx 10 or so had never driven an ATV, all first timers. He then gave a brief class on how to do everything need from starting to stopping and restarting, from there we all took turns on riding around cones that were placed in the training area and doing a figure 8 on practicing how to turn. From there we were off on the beaten path, I trailed Mario the lead instructor and let me tell you, he boogies on that trail, but after I felt comfortable i was right there behind him as were the other's. The trail itself isn't rough at all although there are a few bumps and rocks you will pass over but nothing like you might see or do on your own back home, I encourage any and everyone to experience this if you've never rode an ATV before, it safe and it's fun!!!...the rest, you'll have to find out for yourself, enjoy.
