If based solely on the performance of the tour guides, Sigal and Itimar, a five-star rating would have been easy to give. They were everything you would want in a guide: knowledgeable, patient, kind, and very frank but diplomatic in discussing sensitive political issues. Well done! However, on day two of the package deal, half the day was spent repeating what we saw on the first day. This is no fault of the guides since they have to follow their itinerary, but why would Viator or their local agent do that? For people with limited time in Jerusalem, this represents a repetitive waste of time and there's no way I would recommend the package deal. Also, my experience with tours is that they get you into the short line, not point to a site and say we'll reconvene in 30 minutes! The tours, individually, were valuable for the narrative otherwise, you can do all this stuff on your own and not have to repeat things already seen. Shame on Viator for poor planning: A rip-off really! As a side note, these tours are not for those in poor health. There is a lot of walking and we were very concerned about an older, heavily overweight lady who labored through the ups and downs of the old city, City of David, etc.
