Visiting Auschwitz should become a civil duty to everyone. The arrangements were good and a special thank you to our excellent guide Agnes, who did her best to make the visit as educative and influential as possible.
To see the living conditions for so many people, the gas chamber and the various cells in Auschwitz and then the vastness of Birkenau and how that was all planned out and the sleeping conditions in one of the huts was very interesting. We visited on a cold blustery day and although wearing coats etc found it quite cold and brought another dimension to how all who went there suffered in those conditions with thin 'uniforms' The exhibits in Auschwitz were also very moving.
Amazing and emotional trip, one not to miss when you visit Krakow. The tour was well organised, we were picked up from our hotel - it was so easy. The Camps have an emotional eeriness around them but we were glad we visited. The museum was laid out in a well organised way and it was not too crowded. The Tour Rep was full of information. We must ensure we don't forget the atrocities that happened here. Tip - if you go in October - wrap up warm and bring some tissues!
What can I say? The tour was brilliant, guide was really friendly and informative and the whole bus service etc was flawless. Such a worthwhile trip but so unbelieveably heartbreaking to think what actually went on there. A must see
Very good guide and so interesting at the site. Good driving by viator driver but air con was very loud and quite squishy in the minibus. Very busy when arrived at site but well organised.Sadly the tour guide for site was late from shuttle bus. Would of been nice if Viator informed us of what was happening as we did feel a bit left for a good 20 minutes when we could of been visiting site. Viator leader walked off and did not return to explain.
The guide had very good english! I was sad about the planning! Wanted to go early to come back to Krakow early. But the meeting point was late and a long walk to the bus. Then a 30 min queue at security.
