il tour più bello che ho fatto! La guida Andrea, bravissima e preparatissima, oltre che in attesa di un bimbo. Spiegazioni dettagliate, massima cura e attenzione per tutti i partecipanti . Non perdetevelo!
The best way to get to know nooks and crannies of a new city. We were an intimate group that roamed Lavapies and La Latina while tasting the neighborhoods best. Dont miss it!
Our guide Leila offered the perfect balance of history, culture and culinary info. A real pleasure.
This was a really fun tour. Andrea and Daniella made it seem as though I was visiting Madrid with old friends. They are both extremely personable and knowledgeable and have a passion for sharing their extensive knowledge of Madrid’ with you. I like history, architecture, food and getting a feel for daily life so I’m looking for that when I take a walking tour. I like to do one the first day I am in a new city to get an intelligent overview and introduction. Madrid is a big place so no tour can cover everything. This one was special because we touched ion some of the “major” sites but then veered off to two local neighborhood and visits to their markets. Along the way we tasted great cheeses, olives, wines, bread and olive oil and I bought cookies from cloistered nuns. This tour gives you an insight into living in Madrid and shows you some special places you may not find on your own, such as a section of the original city wall in an apartment building and an Inquisition era prison in the basement of a community center. A great way to spend the morning. I highly recommend this tour.
This is a must do if you are going to Madrid. Our tour guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and her love and appreciation of her city was shared. She knew the history, geography, food, and culture of the city, and shared it in a way that helped her group appreciate it all. Go hungry, because the food sampling was amazing - a generous taste of Spain.
Cecilia was tour guide from urban adventures, and she is one amazing senorita with bubbles of energy and historical information. This tour is more than value for money and Cecilia will ensure that you get taste of local food, wine and history, all in one in this 3-4 hours tour. One precaution: please be prepared to be stuffed like your grandma would do on this tour : Cecilia took us on this tour with wine tasting but also portions of food which will keep you filled up for the whole day !. She took us from the old part of the town to new one going through gypsy quarter - LA Latina. Day started with visit to the chocolate shop - San gines churros and chocolate and through the local Mercados markets where even more food tasting and wine selection was on menu. Different types of olive oil tasting, white wine, CAVA and olives ensured we were fueled throughout the tour. She has very good communication skills and information on local sites, traditions and culture. Will recommend this tour with her for any one passing through Madrid and with few hours on hand to explore the best of central Madrid.
The guise was excellent! We really enjoyed all the tastings and visits to the markets. I would suggest this tour to anyone who really wants to explore the older and more historic areas of Madrid. And by the way, we got more than 4 hours of sightseeing.
Wonderful trip, even in the rain. Our guide Andrea was fantastic, took us to some of her favorite secret spots cookies from Closterd nunsbring an appetite lots of treats along the way. The tour covers some very interesting areas tourist never see.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND. This was one of the highlights of our trip to Madrid. Our guide, Andrea had such a bright personality and a great knowledge of the city. We felt like we got some inside access to local life in Madrid by visiting these neighborhoods and meeting the vendors at local markets. It is not advertised nearly enough in the description, but the food and drink samples are generous. Come with an empty stomach! We got to try some wonderful local delicacies and full drinks at several of the booths. We were actually a little tipsy by 2 p.m. : Really enjoyed this tour, and even ended up booking another one with Andrea later in the trip.
