Guide unprepared
, dic 2018
After completing the Teotihucan tour, by the same company, which was amazing, we were excited to do this one as well. HOWEVER, this tour was awful. Guide unprepared and had shown up for tour like he literally just rolled out of bed. Constantly on phone with company trying to figure something out or checking social media, we just felt out of step and not in sync with our guide. There was no value perceived or experience that “saved the day” so-to-speak. It lacked momentum and continuity and made what was supposed to be a day full of Mexico City culture, a really long day full of disjointed stops and afterthoughts of conversation. DO NOT DO THIS TOUR and if you do make sure you don’t get Esteban as guide.
One of the worst walking tours in our 40 years of international travel.
, nov 2018
We read of this tour in the NY Times. It was promoted as a walk with an English speaking guide enjoying markets, arts and food. Our guide, Estevan, spoke very poor English and was very difficult to understand. He also led the 11 person group in the front and those in the rear could not hear him. We saw no true art and food for lunch was from a stand only kiosk on the sidewalk, We saw the Franz Meyer Museum at the start of the tour but our guide whisked us through it so quickly so that we could not appreciate the wonderful art. We should get a refund for this unfortunate experience. Louis and Anna Niedelman on Nov 22, 2018.
Highlight of Mexico City!
, nov 2018
I absolutely recommend this trip for anyone visiting Mexico City. Our tour guide, Rodrigo, was incredibly knowledgeable and engaging. He shared with us not only stories behind different neighborhoods, buildings, and people who inhabited these places, but also his love and passion for this vibrant city. From the incredible cuisine that we tasted, to the hidden gems in the city that we visited and mescal cocktails we had the opportunity to make, this tour brings the city to life through its rich history and culture. Even if you just have one day in Mexico City, this tour will give you a sense of the incredible richness of its history and culture. Highly recommended and definitely not to be missed!
