We booked this tour for the convience of visiting two sites in one tour but it was very unorganized. Upon our arrival at the Colosseum we were told to wait for our guide, but after 5 minutes took it upon ourselves to ask around and find them. Our guide,Laura, was very enjoyable and knowledgeable of the area. After the tour we went to lunch, that was supposed to be bruschetta and pizza, but were told the wood fire was not on and we could only pick from 3 pastas. Almost 2 hours later we were picked up only to wait again for the Catacombs tour. Our guide, Marco, was very good too. We finished the tour visiting 2 churches, that were not included in the itinerary. I recommend if you want to visit these sites boom them separately or be prepared to spend a lot of your day waiting.
Excellent service we were picked up at the hotel at agreed time and then taken to the colosseum where the tour started. Lunch was really good as was the catacombs tour and the two churches visited in the second part of the day guides throughout the day were excellent a trip well worth doing.
Colosseum was fascinating. The tour guide was delightful and very knowledgeable. A lot of walking but that was expected. After the Colosseum, Roman Forum and Palatine Hill, we were whisked across town near the Vatican for lunch. One of the best lasagnas ive ever had. The beef however looked like mystery meat from my elementary school lunchroom. Beverage was not included. The tiramisu was okay. We were rushed through lunch and then bussed back to the Colosseum ! to pick up more people for the afternoon part of the tour. Apparently I did not read the description very well because I thought it was only the catacombs but it did include 2 churches with a lot more walking. I would not do this tour again. Two separate tours with lunch on my own would have been better. The afternoon tour guide was so kind. There were 3 drop off points. I noticed when we were boarding the bus for the last time that we were just a few blocks from my hotel. He was leaving us at that point and told me to come with him because he was going past it. So he walked me almost to my door. That's Service!
